I think that's true. Like so many English pundits Hinchcliffe seems to see most things through a negative filter. It is almost like he is relishing the mistakes made. This is the way football is covered in this country. The whole point of sport is that it is brilliant and things don't always go to plan.
So many of these commentators operate from a prepared script with lots of meaningless stats. They don't seem capable of understanding tactical switches within the match. The coverage of City's draw with Newcastle did not in any way capture the sheer joy of watching two teams going at it toe to toe. I despise the negativity of the UK media which is not just confined to football coverage.
