He came at the perfect time. Anyone hear Royle's tale about trying to sign him? We couldnt afford something like 40k at the time.

The team needed him, the club and especially the fans needed him, what an inspiration at the time.

The volley at a freezing Boundary Park was one of my all time favourite City goals.
Like many of that era (The Goat, Spencer Prior, Richard Jobson) , a relative journeyman player whose career was given a bit of late shine by having played for City

If it wasn't for Andy Morrison and Terry Cooke, we wouldn't have got out of the Second Division that season. He was immense for us.
