Not a big fan of cheerleaders in the commentary box, but would rather a commentator show a bit of excitement in a pretty exciting situation than the opposite.

Can't remember who it was but when we got a late winner against Villareal a few years back the commentator sounded like he'd just woken up and realised he'd shit the bed.

Think Townsend has generally been ok with us this season, particularly since the CSKA matches where he seemed pretty keen for us to do well.

I Always thought Townsend was fair in all commentaries for all teams, its the bitter so and sos ' such as Tyler, Motson, Neville, Scholes, Mills etc who give us unfair stick.

Chiles just reads the agenda led auto cue. The fact he celebrated shows he isn't really bitter about us.

It was refreshing to have somebody in commentary actually willing us to win in Europe for a change.

I've noticed in all the games we play in Europe the commentators don't seem arsed whether we do well or not, yet cheer and celebrate other English clubs doing well in a game.

So last night it was nice to hear Townsend supporting us, whether you agree with it or not, it shows maybe people are starting to warm to us a little

I thought the coverage was ok. Comentary wa sgood, Scholes was miserable and had little of interest to say, Lescot came across much better but it was a bit predictable and he kept doing things with his tongue! You could tell Lee Dixon has been doing it for years, much more articulate and said some sensible things.
