started a thread a few weeks ago about my father in law who was diagnosed with terminal cancer 7 long weeks ago.
Well unfortunately he passed away peacefully last night at the age of 71.
Massive blue and season ticket holder who was still going to the games up until this bastard of a disease got hold of him.
Would like to thank some members who pointed me in the right direction when I asked for advice when he was first diagnosed ( by the way our beloved club came through with flying colours)
Anyway this evening I will be raising a glass of two to one of the best men I've ever known, good night and God bless Jimmy it was a pleasure .

Sorry for your loss OP. He's at peace now, his suffering is over. As I was told when I lost my dad; "remember the good times, forget the bad times and the petty arguments".

Lost my dad to this horrific desease last yr,so know what your going through, sorry for your loss blue

My partner's Dad sadly passed away due to this horrible horrible disease and the effect it has had on her has been immense, especially as shortly after she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Touch wood she is now safely through the other side but your loss has brought the sad memories of the loss of her own Father back and we both wish to pass on our condolences to you and your family at this sad and difficult time.
