WHY DO YOU PEOPLE THINK PEOPLE WILL IGNORE THE MATCH JUST BECAUSE OF AN INTERNET CONNECTION?

There was an old dear who used to come with her husband a few years back in around 108ish, and she used to bring a book to read.
If it was when Pearce was manager then you can hardly blame her.

I thought it was quite nice to be honest. She didn't really care for the football but went for a day out with her husband. He watched the game and she sat there reading until it had finished.

Lol, now that is one way to waste money, even if it was during the Pearce era.

Sorry, I posted before I read the above post.

Makes note: Must not post in haste.

It's only like in the old days when people took a radio to the match. So are you saying that on the last game of the season as our 5th goes in you won't have an eye on the score elsewhere?

Just read some of the anti text stuff on here; I text my mate during the match. He's used to sit near me for years but is now in a box on the other side of the stadium so its our way of concisely discussing the lack of atmosphere, early leavers, sink pissers and various other important match day issues. Some things are a necessity

Why do we need Wifi at a football match?

So we can all live stream the game from our GoogleGlass headsets :-)

If City honestly gave a toss about the fans, they'd give us all one of these... and a personal jet pack each... and an RPG at the end of each row to sort out the early leavers, as they take off into the sky.
Yeah, come on City! Sort it out!!

Some sort of hovering sentry drone to zap anyone that tries to leave before the final whistle next. Got to be someway to provide current to seats to shock anyone that won't pipe up. Sing, no shock. No sing, your balls are smoking spheres of crispiness.

I'm amazed they haven't thought of this! Also, a pride of hungry lions trained to roam the concourses, seeking out surreptitious smokers and sink pissers.
FFS! Sort it out City!!

I'm no technophobe by any stretch, but I'm dead against this improved Wi-fi at the game. There's already a worrying amount of bellends waving their i-pads around paying little or no attention to the game and personally think this will be hugely detrimental to any already quite subdued atmosphere we currently have at the Etihad at the moment.

I know City are doing this with good intentions of improving our overall "match day experience" but they seriously need to re-think this one.

The whole of the area in and around the stadium seems to be in some sort of black hole,i never seem to get a mobile signal or pick up the internet on my phone either at the game or on the way home afterwards.

Contention is your problem caused by narcissistic technology.

Yeah and funnily enough, i've not seen one iPad lover complaining about it all season. Just plenty of luddites complaining.
