effing MSFT..

I've got 2007 Office Enterprise installed on one of my notebooks and Office Pro 97 on another, which I now wish to upgrade..

the disc and manuals for Office Pro 97 I've got (stop laughing) but I can't find the bloody disc for 2007 Office Enterprise, and MSFT have discontinued the download the #*E$s, instead you've got to go with whatever their latest series of increasingly complicated crap is & the expense.

does anyone know where I can download or get a source disc for Office Enterprise 2007? I've got the product key, I just need to find the software.

thank you

PS I'll be over in the UK next month, although I'll be up north (way up north) and will gladly trade anything American/swap favours/etc for anyone who can help me out.

cheers!

There's various options on ebay for around £20-£30 including the .com and .co.uk versions. How genuine these discs are is debatable I suppose though, they could be burnt from a torrent download.

Buyer beware...

Cheers for you input Colin.

I've been on to MSFT (who are usually not so helpful) and my product key is a volume license one.. this means to use this to install the software again I need a volume license disc or download - I wasn't looking to buy the software a second time.

I may go back to using Office Pro 97 (which I still use on my XP computer) if I can't figure out a way of accessing the software for my reinstall, as with the patches I'm okay opening newer documents, although it's a pain in the arse the way MSFT constantly tarts things up and pressures backward compatibility in an effort to sell more updates on software to people.

depends if you want genuine or copy
if the latter I can upload 2007 enterprise for you somewhere
no key required for enterprise editions

let me know mate

that would be stupendous!

- although I'm not sure I understand the technical process you're referring to, because I thought to install anything MSFT you have to have their key?

I have the key, but I need a volume license download link (or volume license original media) .. this is what MSFT told me, and said I had to go to the guy who installed this on my machine to get it, MSFT wouldn't supply the media to me, only to the guy who did the install.

Your thoughts?

Sorry I'm not sure if I understand what you're suggesting..

basically if you want a copy of office 2007 enterprise that does not require a key then there are various ways you can obtain this.

as far as I know anything Microsoft with the name enterprise edition attached to it does not require a key.

therefore if you want a copy of 2007 enterprise edition either download it thru a torrent or I could upload a copy to a hosting site for you to download from there.

or you could just buy it.

the key you have is useless without the original disk

not sure of the legal side of letting you know how to do this on this site or anything involving copied software.

I can give you a link thru a pm for a direct dload. just let me know
