We’ve left. The extension is not to ‘stay’. We can’t ‘stay’. We left five months ago. The transition extension is to prevent the economy getting further fucked up the arse.

The transition period was designed to help British industry transition from a EU trading environment to a non EU trading environment and to manage the rule changes, new trade barriers etc. The only problem is we haven’t actually agreed the non EU trading environment so no one knows what to transition to and given the cut off is 6 months away that is a problem. Even more of a problem when the economy is currently being buggered by a pandemic.

No. Every little helps. But then it always did. We didn't need to leave the EU to trade with Kenya.

And as most of our coffee comes via the EU it will be subject to new tariffs of 6% or 8%.

No I don't. I think the nutters will win and we will crash out. I'm just hoping that for the good of the country either common sense and/or economic reality will prevail (and I do mean for our government).

Good point - The EU producers will need to reduce prices on tea lights to compete with the non EU producers, or risk losing their UK market share, which means UK tea lights are likely to fall to world market price. Making them cheaper.
The same argument can be made for food; as an example.

It is totally non-stop from some of them

They actually are clearly embarrassed at themselves - which is obvious from the way they seek to deny it when it is pointed out. But they simply cannot stop themselves - they have become so committed to winning a 'debate' on a football forum - the best interests of the UK are of nothing in comparison.

Some probably have Brainier as their screensaver;-)

When you get used to their blinkedness and see it for what it is - then it is actually quite amusing to watch them twist in their denial

Those leavers really don’t think we’ve left it would seem. I feel a bit sorry for them to be honest. It seems that the process of leaving excites them more than the actual fact that we’ve left.

Once they get over that fact perhaps they can start to encourage those who are negotiating our future relationship to get the best deal possible for the future of our country rather than obsessing about burning bridges with the EU to prove that we’ve really left. Most former remainers know full well we’re no longer in the EU. The sooner the Brexiteers realise this the better.
