Thank fuck for that.
Hopefully Swiss Cheese will also take ownership instead of trying to credit former Remainers for the position we’re in.

I have no problem owning my vote and decisions. Cheese is correct though. remain MP's and parties thought they could have their cake and eat it. Dont blame them as victory was within their grasp until they got greedy but they voted for us to leave with no deal if a deal wasn't agreed and they then voted down any form of a deal in the same way the ERG did.

I'm pleased they did as May was useless and her deal a bag of shite.

The breathtaking arrogance of some of those that voted for this shit in 2016 and are now blaming those that voted against it for the state we’re in is something to behold.

So its remainers fault that headbangers won?

Nope - Brexit is entirely the fault of brexiteers. They pushed Brexit, then hard Brexit. You either support them and you own it or you accept they were and are wrong and should never have been supported in the first place.

Thank fuck for that.

We all own it! You, me, the SNP, ERG, labour, libs, John Bercow, DUP, change UK (whatever that was) and the independent group. I've left Gina Miller and UKIP out as strictly speaking they don't have parliamentary representation. Everyone played their part in getting to where we are now.

No remainer voted to leave without a deal.

Actually, very few leavers did.

They voted firstly or many of them did for us to leave with no deal if a deal wasn't agreed. By then voting down deals, im afraid they got what they eventually voted for Vic.

Its all moot anyway as a deal will be agreed.

I encourage you to use freedom of movement before it disappears forever and live in a EU country. If you’ve got the balls to leave the UK with it’s ‘mass unemployment, rising prices and lower standard of living’

Why? Is Canada in the EU?

I know cause and effect has been a concept famously lacking in many brexiteers, but if you make somewhere less desirable to live, fewer people will want to live there. But true to form you've made it a test of manliness - The rest of the country should just tough it up, get on with it, etc - Maybe whilst you're in South America? Now that is classic.

Utter bollocks, but rehashing 2018’s arguments isn’t going to achieve anything and I have neither the time or inclination to go there.

I don’t fucking own it. I voted Remain. Man up and accept it’s down to you and every single person who voted leave, and no one else.

What is bollocks about saying many remain MP's first voted for us to leave with no deal if a deal wasn't agreed and they then proceeded to vote down the deal on offer?

I don’t fucking own it. I voted Remain. Man up and accept it’s down to you and every single person who voted leave, and no one else.
Don't normally respond to tantrums, but I'll make an exception as you are clearly upset. Leavers did their bit, but we could not have got from where we were in March last year to where we are now without the help of remainers both in and out of parliament. I would personally like to thank you all.

I disagree.
The leavers voted to leave full stop. They have to accept responsibility for whatever that looks like. The fact that they didn’t know what it was going to look like is a sad indictment of the stupidity of those that voted for a step into the unknown without realising it. They can’t start blaming others for this mess though (although it would appear they’re doing their best to). Obviously some are very happy about how it’s turned out so far. Let’s see what they’re saying next year.

sounding like dippers again - 'next year la'. As they have proved if you keep saying it it eventually comes true. Hang in there and keep the faith :-)

Not sure if you realise but if all goes to Boris’s plan transition ends on 31 December and whilst we left 5 months ago the full impact of that will only take effect on 1 January so it’s perfectly valid to suggest that it needs to be discussed next year. References to dippers are just puerile but then you’re the expert on that.

Literally lost count of all the disastrous brexit cliff edges predicted by remainers that have amounted to fuck all.

You’re probably right. Johnson will most likely bottle it and we’ll end up with BRINO, and nothing will change other than we will have done the opposite of taken back control.
Hard to understand why you are getting so animated if that is the case - surely nothing to worry about?

Make your own mind up mate - I don't have the stats to hand on who repeatedly blocked May's deal. The ERG probably did too. All I'm saying is there was a chance for compromise, sensible brexit, soft Brexit or whatever you want to call it. It was voted down by those who wanted something else. If that something else was a hard/no deal then they voted the right way, or at least cleverly from a strategic point of view. Those voting it down to force a remain /revoke position shot themselves in the foot which is not clever.

Who says I’m animated?
Whilst it’s a likely outcome, it’s by no means certain. We could just as easily end up with No Deal, and that’s when the blame game will really start after we hit the real cliff edge we’ve so far managed to avoid.

I'm loving the whole "Leavers must own it" whinging, as if there's going to be some retribution they're waiting to dish out.

That is the problem. Less than 6 months to go and we have made zero progress since 2016. The only certainty is 4 years have been wasted and there remains no consensus within the tories/brexiteers about how to progress. They will have to make their mind up, although the tweet I posted earlier seems to suggest the headbangers have won.
