Like remainers are obsessed with Farage?

I use Verhofstadt because he's the most vocal, and also the example of the type of Europhile I despise and the type I wish to see eradicated from the idea of "Europe". Tusk, for example, was not approving of the language Verhofstadt used in his discussions of the brexit situation. Tusk is more level headed, and he himself warned about the EU's obsession with wanting more sovereign powers, and ignoring the public.

His is not a minority view, it's growing, and if Verhofstadt's vision of Europe is one truly shared by people in Europe, it is not a "Europe" I wish to be associated with, as a citizen.
You're quite happy to post gifs slagging off tusk though.

Yet you're now in a position where Johnson may well be able to neuter parliament to push his own wishes through and the brexiteers think that they're taking back sovereignty.

Nope.

In this context, ‘Parliament’ means an Act of the Monarch, Lords and Commons. If Johnson can frustrate anything it’s the will of the House of Commons. Nothing more.

And you can’t take back that which you never lost. As I say, Brexiters who talk about taking back sovereignty either did understand what they were talking about or did understand but lied about it anyway.

So can Johnson preravicate and frustrate the house of parliament or no?

Yet the trough feeders you've given it to.
Are you making any actual point here or just arguing against my personal opinions and feelings on the matter?

Because if it's the latter, i'm not interested. You're an EU luvvie, i'm not.

This is the bit I’ve never understood. Why not one politician has suggested going back to the EU and telling them what it’ll take for us to see stay in.
NB: I could have completely misunderstood what you meant by reset!!

Look at the whole of Europe and the countries within it, look at Ireland, Gibraltar, look at devolved govts, look at countries at the heart of the Eu project, look at those with their toe in, those with a leg in, look at the house of lords, look at fptp. Seriously who the fuck would come up with all this shit. Logically it’s a complete farce. Great for politicians and big business though.

Draw a line in the sand and decide what you want to do. More politicians, division, side taking ain’t getting us very far. The amount of money, time and bureaucracy is hilarious. If the Eu is so good sell it better, if the politicians in England Ireland wales and Scotland want to make decisions on our behalf then they are doing a shit job of persuading us it’s a sound system.

He's threatened to refuse a parliamentary vote to request an extension. You lot may give your PM a stupid amount of power but that's completely unconstitutional if he does it.
Which law is that then?

In the 1980s the UK govt removed teachers’ rights to collective bargaining and imposed a pay committee on them.
They were taken to court and the ECJ found against the govt and instructed them to reinstate the n3gotiating system previously used.
The govt refused and have continued to defy the ECJ ever since.

Just one case.
I’ll bet there are hundreds more.
I don't know that case, but, were it to arise today, the teachers could sue for damages at ECJ

I do. So to does Varadkar and thats why it will never happen regardless of the EU rules and its single market.

It’s one of life’s great evils

Ebola
Famine
Murder
Scousers
Hard borders manned with clipboard facists

If anything is going to get me to pick up a pitchfork it’s a line on a map and a **** in a hut. Grrrrrr

The House of Commons, Yes.

An Act of Parliament, no.
So if both houses pass it he can't refuse it? Safe enough so, the HOL are fairly anti Brexit. Would be strangely satisfying to see them do their job properly for once from an Irish point of view.

The supreme source of law in the UK is an Act of Parliament. He can’t defy an Act. Anything short of that, and it depends what it is.
