Do people realise that people arriving in boats aren’t doing so to them turn up at an asylum centre?

How can anyone, argue against the government stopping them, working out whether they are genuine asylum seekers, if they are then offer asylum, if not, return them to where they have migrated from?

Surely that’s the process everyone should support and even if you don’t, let’s not pretend holding that view is akin to that witch Hopkins suggesting we shoot them.
Am I the only one who reads his own posts to check they are coherent? Admittedly, it doesn't always work for everyone.

Tbh the hotel thing doesn't bother me. Asylum Centres all sound a bit 3rd reich for me and I suspect during covid these hotel bookings are keeping the hotels from going bust. It's genuinely hard to tread a decent line between completely open borders and something inhumane. Also, the people we would wish to keep out don't come with a big neon sign over their heads, but are concealed within the streams of legit refugees.

just look at the recent incidents in Europe, there's nothing wrong in being careful and selective.

My crop failed because of your carbon emissions. I was starving.

So you admit you came here for economic reasons?

20 years on: yes and I'm happy to give you a job in my business.

Just to be accurate, the EEZ is not British territory.
You’re quite correct but the official definition includes this:
is an area of the sea in which a sovereign state has special rights regarding the exploration and use of marine resources, including energy production from water and wind.

Refugee / asylum seeker: "My crop failed because of your carbon emissions. I was starving."

Someone who doesnt like asylum seekers: "So you admit you came here for economic reasons?"

20 years on... Ex-refugee: "I came here because I fled poverty. Now I'm happy to give you a job in my business."

Any clearer?

no, still incoherent. Surely the asylum seeker in this example would see his business fail due to the dire economic consequences of brexit?

In simple terms to move as close as possible on trade by abolishing trade barriers and borders, removing regulatory differences and harmonising an economic market across 27 countries you need a common rule book, a body to administer it and a judiciary to enforce it, all of which cuts across national competences and requires political alliance to accomplish it. The deeper you merge on trade, the deeper the political alliance.
But originally it was only 6 countries slowly increasing, you then have 27 different countries all wanting different things, you scratch my back etc, it becomes a monster in itself. Agree on trade and a set of standards and movement of those goods across those borders but the rest can go swivel. The allowing of countries in who then have to be brought upto standard by the other states is ridiculous. If they get their own houses in order first then they can join, just look at the Greek pension system for a start, then when they go bust other countries have to bail them out.
I can see the French been utter twats over this it wouldn’t surprise me if we see our lorry drivers attacked by their fisherman etc we know what they are like blocking roads etc. Expect huge queues when you go in holiday ad the put those 10 English flights to Ibiza through one passport control with Jose who’s having his siesta and will be back in an hour, whereas us good old English will treat everyone with respect as usual, stiff upper lip bollocks.
it’s not going to be amicable at all deal or no deal.

And why didn’t he stop off in one of the other 26 countries on his way here or don’t they pollute the world !
Presumably because post brexit we won't be tied to the EU's inherently racist 'freedom of movement' which excludes the generally non-white non-EU immigrant.

She is certainly very good for her age. Wiki says she has 7 children. Are they all hers or are some step children? Remarkable figure if she has had 7 children. Child bearing usually takes a toll on the figure. I've only had 1and that was bad enough, lol.

Ive had three kids and its devastated my body...... and Im male.

I do like asylum seekers though.

Im only saying I want the proper process to be conducted and the government to effectively patrol our borders.

If someone is a genuine asylum seeker, we should help them.
