Yep, that’s because we haven’t been building and the pent up demand from lockdown. I doubt you’ll find many not predicting a crash post Christmas though.
We've been predicting a house price crash in the SE every year. The sad fact is that people will pay vast sums for a shitty quality of life just to be within a couple of hours of London.

No Remainer said it would hit the fan if we voted leave. We said it would hit the fan when we leave.Big difference ! We have still not effectively left until 31/12/20 and things are already worse. Let's see what happens next year. If we get a deal that is similar to the trade terms we had as members, although it will undoubtedly be a problem, that deal will effectively mean we are still in the EU although we have left the institution which will have adverse consequences. No deal at all and we are in deep shit. Property prices have fallen until recently, especially commercial ones which Covid will make even worse. Prices have held recently because people are trying to buy now and demand has increased because of the stamp duty freeze but that ends next March.
Tbh that's just not true. We're initially told even having a referendum would trash house prices and the economy, then voting leave would, and then every significant deadline since.

If house prices crash, they can always make it easier for corrupt Russian and Chinese officials to buy them as investments and prop them up again.

Thank fuck we won't be picking the tab for them up for much longer.

The EU handles external trade matters with non EU countries, therefore they will have a representation in those countries to handle trade related matters and foreign policy positions that are agreed at EU level.

It‘s also a way of extending influence on behalf of member nations.

The article also gives you a flavour of the role. For example visiting Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast and tutting along with them at the appalling judgment of the Johnson Govt.
