Another new Brexit thread

Covering 2019.
Global pandemic was announced 12 March about one month after it became reasonably clear that it was going to happen, and at least two months after the move from London to Amsterdam had happened.
I'm sure they'll get it authorised eventually and you'll be able to say a few weeks doesn't matter.
If it was an isolated case then fine but it's not.

How's the PPE scheme going? Has the recovery fund started paying out yet?

You've had every post shot down in flames within seconds for days now. It's getting a bit embarrassing to watch to be honest.

It‘s terribly sweet of you to be so worried about our European neighbours. In the meantime the UK is heading for the buffers on 31st December, during a pandemic that you are so worried about and solely because we didn’t extend transition before June of this year.

Given you are so vexed at the stupidity of decisions taken over the EMA in March, you must be furious at the stupidity of gambling an entire country in June during a pandemic.

The IM bill is back in the Commons on Monday.
Unless we get a deal before then AND the 'technicaly' illegal clauses are reinstated ( according to Mogg they will be) I'd say all bets were off on a deal.
N'est ce pas?

How are those schemes going?
Ventilators, PPE, EMA and debt issuance from memory.

Bank Holiday or not this is what happens when the EMA rushes a move from London – despite over 20-years left on a 25-year lease and a potential £500 million bill – and months into a global pandemic, the EMA (as the March 2020 EMA Report introduction below makes clear) was still not ‘expertise’ fit for purpose.

I'm never sure now whether Brexiters are just being idiots or wumming. Why would an EU organisation stay in the UK with potential disruption of its business long-term (would they have kept the UK staff?), yet you say "rush" (and throw in a global pandemic as if anyone knew that was coming)? Brexit disrupters complaining about disruption, what a surprise.

Any international lawyers on board? If they don't pay the rent, how would the landlords get the money?

If you read the report you'd see they've not done much since 2018.
The mistake realisation moment in trying to move/scatter the City’s functions over several Eurozone nations when the financial wholesale market remains here, is yet to come.

With the exception of a tiny number of manipulative and malevolent billionaires, it's different shades of the former rather than the latter.
