I also wonder how many voted for Boris Johnson as British Prime Minister? Them’s the rules, unfortunately.

Well we will get a vote in this Country soon enough.

How long until the people of Europe get a vote on who becomes President?

The EU system is undemocratic, it's not even up for debate, but denying hundreds of Millions a vote in this day and age is a scandal, it's not the 18th century anymore.

You can't just shrug it off as those are the rules.

That is different apparently.

Go figure!

I mean come on mate, over 17 Million voting to leave is ignored by some so Tusk being put in charge on a nod and a wink isn't going to even register with some.
What about Ursula von der Leyen?

What about Martin Selmayr?

As is the case in UK politics, which by the way still has a House of Lords and a Monarch nonetheless, you vote for representatives who in turn vote for their leader(s). It’s not an unusual set up in western civilisation.

It is an unusual set up for a leader and basically his cabinet to be unelected. Thats a dictatorship.

The House of Lords needs to go, as well hereditary cunts.

It’s not difficult to understand but I doubt you’ll be able to so I won’t bother explaining.

Bercow has stood up for Parliamentary democracy in the face of an executive that sought to run roughshod over our elected representatives.

Now watching part 2 of 'The Rise of the Nazis'
I don't think it's fair to equate Bercow with the Nazis. Yes, for sure was very right wing in the past and admits to having had racist friends and views, but everyone deserves a second chance. Even though he's not my cup of tea, he is certainly a much reformed character compared to 20-30 yrs ago.

I wondered why Boris Johnson wanted the PM job, being as it's such a poisoned chalice currently. Now I've realised, no matter how many cock ups he makes, he has obviously worked out that while Corbyn and his comrades sit opposite he will remain in power come what may. Westminster is a total joke with the power hungry mps continually stabbing each other in the back and trying to outmanouver each other. Meanwhile in the real world the rest of the country just gets on with life.

What ‘power hungry MPs’? Most of the Tory rebel MPs are either resigning, getting deslected or tilting at windmills by standing as an independent. Power starved more like.
