Who remembers the good ol days of Brexit when leaving the EU was a good idea because of err... Syrian refugees

We would have already left the EU if it wasn't for the ERG, actually. The most hardcore leavers of them all.

Francois, Gove and Rees Mogg will be up there with Bercow, Miller and Grieve in the history books as the people who averted a national disaster.
Don’t forget Bridgeon, although I wish I could

There is certainly no softer brexit than 3 and half years after a referendum to leave still being in the eu.

The bit that should concern is that Gove thought it would take four years to sort out all the issues that came with membership before we could leave the EU. We are three and half years into this and we haven’t even begun to sort out the issues. We have only agreed the divorce bill out of the three items that formed part of Phase One let alone touched Phase Two. NI is impossible and citizen rights are still up in the air.

Meanwhile the PM of two months can’t get a thing through Parliament and he just got a major slapping from the courts. The EU is setting deadlines and then saying ‘dance monkey, dance’ and wearily we doth dance.

Still it’s taken the heat off that woman he was shagging and bunged 125 large #silverlinings

‘And in case you’re wondering, I hear that the prime minister is absolutely furious about all of this. This prorogation plan couldn’t have gone worse. Awful own goal that has triggered a series of mini-crises for Johnson culminating with a rebuke from the highest court in the land’ Beth Rigby Sky.

Little doubt the blame will be laid at Cummings door who is without a doubt pulling the strings.

Remaining in the EU is the “extreme” view now.

As I said. Mental. Deluded.
Remaining is just fine and has a lot going for it. It's your characterisation of those that don't share your own view that is extreme. It's also possibly self-defeating as it is very confrontational and diminishes your ability to get your dearly held view across.

Unfortunately this is going to rumble on for years to come no matter what the recent outcome will be. It was rife during Maggie Thatchers time in the 80’s but she slapped down the wets. Don’t think this is going away any time soon even if we get another referendum.

I don’t hate you all, actually. I’ve got staff, family members and friends who voted leave. I feel sorry for you for being duped by the real villains of the piece, and frustrated at you for not seeing it, or pretending not to see it.

I got teary reading that then you big softy ;-)

Is the correct answer so get it over with, leave and if it turns into the shit show you all predict then rejoin and scream told you so whilst throwing rotten veg at all us nazi leavers in our stocks.

Until it happens, brexit that is though this is an open sore that will never heal and will pour puss everywhere.

Especially if we get another referendum
