How does an extension take 'No Deal' off the table?
Because we stay EU members until the end of January unless we pass a deal or revoke article 50. This has been done on the understanding we use this time to hold an election. Labour now has a choice to be seen as positively embracing one or as having to be dragged kicking and screaming to the polls. The latter is not a good look.

Thing is.... he wont do it .... he lied (again) and wont get any criticism from the Conservatives.

No mandate
No majority
No morals

He hasn't lied at all... The Benn Act scuppered his chances and it makes perfect sense now (within reason) to discuss the WA and make realistic amendments before passing it...

They need to get on with it and stop the stalling

Unless a party wins the election that advocates No Deal, in which case we deserve what we get.

You're quite right.
It wasn't a lie. He made a commitment that he didn't have the power to deliver. That makes it bullshit rather than a lie.
He has told plenty of out and out lies though.

Measures taken so far to ensure we leave the EU on 31st October. We threatened not to talk to the EU till they dropped the backstop, prorogued Parliament illegally, failed to get Parliaments support for an election, dumped Northern Ireland unionists and installed a customs border within our own Union and spent £100m on misleading ads.

And now we are threatening to ruin Christmas with a General Election. An idea so spectacularly bad it’s difficult to do justice to how bad it is.
