Dunno mate - possibly not. Reminds me of a guy I used to work with. Getting a new car and went to see a Hyundai i30. Then went to see a Kia Cee'd. The Cee'd was fundamentally the same car in a different dress but cost more than the i30 and when he mentioned this to the salesman his response was " yeah - but you are paying for the badge mate".

Why are you posting this?

Here you are - somebody that can be seen from 'both sides' as being an highly informative poster - but here simply being a WUM. This is what causes trouble on these threads and I bring this to the attention of @SebastianBlue and other mods - not because I want to get you or anyone else in to trouble - not at all - the opposite in fact - I find myself doing the same.

I just want to explain something - absolutely with the intention of helping the thread

We are all CITY fans here - yet some posters trawl the Internet looking for bollocks and snide things to say about Leave supporting people and then they bring the bollocks back to these threads to insult and demean other CITY fans by association - you have only recently started to join in the campaign.

I am sure that you and others feel equally disparaging about myself and other Leavers - but let me just give you a view from 'our' end of the telescope and I will invite you to do the same from 'your' end

From our POV (although other Leavers please feel free to reject what I say) - Every single day we have posts from a couple of posters....... posting some random bollocks that they have generally not read - but entirely for the purpose of slagging people off by associating Leavers with stupidity - then the pack jumps in and repeats

Every single fucking day we have other posters jumping in to double down and post all sorts of references / links to do the same

We have every week posts from certain 'buzzer' posters and others insulting Leavers - always tolerated - never rebuked

The 'Blues Brothers Dave' enjoy full latitude to pop in and post whatever level of caustic insult they feel like at anytime - again always without rebuke

We have some posters on here acting in packs - stalking Leaver posters and ganging up - it happens oh so often - generally tolerated - sometimes supported

We have Leaver posters - including myself - bemoaning how these threads are moderated - because in our view it is utterly one-sided - especially late in the evening - but we are probably limited by our own bias?

We have Leaver posters - including myself - getting involved in the personal arguments. This is simply because they are just so fucked off with the one-sided way things occur - so, seeing as it is tolerated, stooping to that level

We have had years of insults/associations from Remain supporters of Leaver supporters with all things racist/stupid/ etc. etc.

Fuck - that this is sometimes denied is proper outrageous.

We have now a situation where 'the tide has turned' and Leaver posters - including myself - are feeling (after the last 3 years of abuse) it is appropriate to indulge themselves in what they see as 'giving some of the shit back'......

We have even had one or two examples of people able to rise above all the blinkedness and - move on - respect to them!!! That does not mean they have 'capitulated' - just that they are able to 'move on'

And so on and on...….

Ok - that is from our end of the telescope and I accept that you will have a similar/but opposite view

All in all - the need is for all us to stop this fucking partisan shite and grow the fuck up - and (from my POV) recognise the reality and support the UK. What is done is done - we need to look to the future.

Does anyone think that this forum can do this?

I have my reservations but I will try - so long as I see some effort from others

Why am I posting an article from the Telegraph (a staunchly pro Brexit and pro Govt paper) written by the Brexit Party Chairman about the future negotiations with the EU in the Brexit thread?

Where would you suggest I post it?

Did you have a tough day yesterday?
My guess is that the forum will bump along as it has in the past and include the genuinely insightful, the mad and the bad. I wouldn't expect any more from it. One thing is for sure though I think you will continue to give as good as you get and your cri de couer was no doubt sincere but a little misplaced (imo). Whilst I believe that everyone recognises the reality, the deep divisions are not going to be healed by simply 'growing the fuck up'.

Calling out the consequences of Brexit negative or positive will no doubt continue on this thread and thats as it should be. Those that are negative will without doubt be accused of not supporting the UK albeit they will be simply reflecting the truth as posters see it. I agree we need to look forwards and I think that will happen naturally. Cutting the insults would be a good starting place but I would also suggest that the last 3 or 4 years cannot simply be chlorine washed away.
 
Ikea in Coventry gone, kirk douglas dead, coronavirus declared a global emergency by WHO, and this is after less than a week of being out of the EU :-(

It’s the same with chicken as again they are kept in poorer conditions and the chlorine washing is to cleanse the filth in which they are kept.
