Why bother joining in the first place, should be the more appropriate question.Your first sentence then begs the question; why bother leaving if we've been divided so long?
Oh yeah, to make trade easier! But there were some who couldn't help but try and bind us all together politically, despite the wishes of some of it's members.
Should have kept it as a trade union and not have delusions of grandeur about being a "superpower" to take on the United States, Russia and China.

Unfortunately I don't live in the middle of nowhere. I hear racist stuff all the time. At work, in the pub, walking the dog, all over the Web. People who think they're part of my family, members of my family and yes, friends.
