And if you are a strong Brexit supporter - the scheme of things are increasingly grand

Just my attempt at injecting some humour;-)

I may be thick as mince but I'm doing quite well in the grand scheme of things,

Thick as mince?
That would be still arguing on a forum in favour of remain after losing a referendum and a general election
These people would probably be still arguing the earth is flat and the internet won’t catch on
Get over it and join the future

What you are describing is sticking to your beliefs and as we are yet to see the benefits, or oterwise of Brexit yet that seems fine to me. The earth by the way isn't flat and the internet has been a disaster.

True but i'm starting to think Cummings may be a lizard man. He has a reptilian vibe.

Not giving up yet.

https://services.parliament.uk/Bills/2019-21/europeanunionwithdrawalimplementationperiod.html

A Bill to require Her Majesty’s Government to seek a two-year extension of the implementation period under Article 132 of the Withdrawal Agreement; to repeal the prohibition on agreeing to such an extension under section 33 of the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020; and for connected purposes.
Only 6 months ago this news would have made me groan - and we would have had so many posts on here explaining why an extension was good for the UK

Life has been so much better since December 2019

To be fair, there probably still would be if there wasn’t the focus elsewhere (which is also the reason most wouldn’t be averse to an extension depending on progress)

Nope - that would be those that cannot differentiate between priority outcomes and the issues of logistics and timetable

If you are one of those that are unable to grasp that self evident fact is not my problem but does explain why you get confused over simple concepts and get all high-handed about the EU

Nonetheless - Frost was clearly correct - and refreshingly so

Thankfully - I think that the penny will start to drop with Barnier and the EU27 leaders

Frost was not correct. As you concede Covid 19 will change logistics and timetables. The tight timetable for negotiations has already being disrupted. Therefore for Frost to state ‘it hasn’t changed anything’ is the comment of an idiot.

I think only the most ardent zealots are still focussed purely on Brexit right now.

Or he is a lizard man and he thinks we are all thick as mince. The problem these people will come up against is that we are not all thick and we remember what was promised and what was dismissed as project fear.

Oh dear

Narrowly correct - but I am seeing that as an absolute whoosh

Anyway - you seem to have gone over to the camp that need to get all bolshie - so best let you get on with finding some salve

Something is either correct or it is not. Something cannot be ‘narrowly correct’ or ‘widely correct’ it is just correct. Like my post for example.

Well suited to this government then.

Indeed. Personally, I’m in the mindset now of we’ve got the team that won the referendum running the country now, they can own it and the implementation and it’s not worth debating until we get to the point of knowing what their vision actually looks like and means.

Whatever happens though, it won’t mean an end to this debate. This will now run endlessly and there will always be additional caveats put in until we’re all on our death beds, thinking “they’ll realise I was right, even if I’m gone” and still not think about all that time wasted not thinking about domestic issues that were more important all along...
