Explain the covert and what has transpired?

That’s the point, we can’t because it’s consciously not been investigated. I’m asking more on the principle though rather than specifics (I’ve already said, the report today shouldn’t really be being discussed on this thread).

Actually it is, because actually, every single thing you have said would happen,
when the time came for it to happen, it didn't. So when someone from the side
that's never been right yet, says the future will be dog shit, not many of the said shits
are given.
Sorry, but this in in English.

Bollocks. You cling to that shite like a fly on a Brexit turd.

Ah, I see.

You read "we've not wasted time, money and effort doing an investigation, because there's no point as there's little to no evidence to start with" as "we've not bothered doing an investigation... because we're hiding something..."

The reasoning is similar to Trump on Covid. If you don’t test for the virus then it isn’t there. If you don’t investigate then it didn’t happen.

The notion that the Russians covertly interfered in other elections but took the summer of 2016 off is so infantile it is bizarre that the argument is even made.

So after the referendum, election wins, legal challenges, Russians and endless insults may be , just may be this bizarre concept is true.

more people in the uk wanted to leave the eu than remain.

And why did they want to leave? Was it based on the economic promises? The pledge we could spend more on the NHS? Immigration? People don’t vote in a vacuum. They vote based on the information provided at the time, and if the information provided was false or a lie then what value does the vote have?

No one voted to spend billions on more red tape or to have an internal customs border or to spend £39 billion with no sign of a future deal. We were told we wouldn’t leave until the final trade deal was sorted out.

You can’t outrun the lies.

Well I’ve never seen the first bit and so haven’t made any interpretation on it, let alone the second bit. Why, is that what the justification for not following the initial report was and I missed it? As the report today was very contrary to it if it was...

Both sides lied - the public chose the lies they liked/were scared by the most. No point getting down in the gutter and playing the leave liars at their own game - then crying cheat just because you lost. If half the effort had been put into selling the benefits of remain as we're put into denigrating leavers wed still be in the EU, and to borrow a remainer word - Remainers 'own' that mistake.

Conned how?

Pretty sure I made my mind up to wanting the UK out of the EU back in 2014. No Russian, Faragy Bargy, Daily Mail or any other brexit phantom you've come to fear influenced my vote.

You want to know what did influence my vote to leave? The EU's actions itself.
Ditto

Mid-90s or perhaps earlier for me - not a single bit of Russian influence was heard

I suggest that the reason that it is being discussed on this thread is because...........

Some Remainers have been referring to the topic often - and repeatedly - since 2016

Should Leavers not therefore point out that the level of certainty that they expressed was 'ill-founded'?

Bollocks. Leave was nothing but lies from start to finish. From fanning racial resentment to ludicrous lies about the economic benefits. All this ‘ooh remain campaign was just as bad’ is horseshit. ‘Vote Leave or the Turks will arrive in their millions’, ‘Vote leave and we can get a better deal with the EU at no cost’, yeah right, there are Nigerian Princes who would be embarrassed at promoting that scam.

The English voted for a scam, and like all scams they will cost. From £39 billion, to increased trade barriers, an internal custom border and to fuck off big lorry parks and trying to create our own regulatory environment in five months. Oh, and during a pandemic. Priceless. I mean the fuckers can’t even get a fucking track and trace app to work. Jeez.

Absolutely spot on

Whatever outcome we end up with - Remainers will have a share of responsibility

TBF - I personally give them a big let-off - I am delighted that they have repeatedly fucked up since 2015
