Ha ha ha - I presume Brexit loving Cornwall want their money before Brexit loving Wearside bleeds the treasury dry.........

 
Ffs. The new European, Femi, a parody BJ twitter acct and the daily mail. All brought together like Hitler,stalin and pol pot on twitter to create a balanced view. You are radicalising yourself mate. This is pretty much how isis recruit brides.

If I wanted to see twitter I can find t myself tbh. Long ago given up on it as a source of balanced opinion on any subject due to the way it works - users literally create their own echo chambers due to the system of likes and follows. Not a pop at you personally but the platform itself.

So are you saying that Cornwall Council haven't called for the Government to make up the EU cash and the Daily Mail headlines are fabricated. Of course the last one is but as some of you guys like to say 'direction of travel'.

It is foolish to ignore the message because you don't like the messenger.

No. I'm saying the new European harvest such facts ro promote their agenda and omit those that don't. People who already agree with the new European follow, like and share until it becomes the only truth. This is not just a brexit thing, it's how twitter works and why trump uses it.
 
Oh look

The Sun and Daily Mail have dropped their project fear monikors after recieving a leaked cabinet document showing how a no deal Brexit will destroy the whole country financially.

No doubt the ones defending it will blame Covid than go against their own xenophobic opinions and denials.
 
Brexit Ultra's were radicalised 5-6 years ago. They "won" but now when even the cheerleaders they followed in the Mail and the Sun etc are telling them that its a busted flush they don't want to know and blame the Remain side for Sun headlines - they are like someone who finds a disfiguring rash on their faces - the obvious thing to do is go to the doctors however their answer is to take all the mirros down in their houses and ask that every other place they visit does the same so they don't have to look at what they don't want to see.........

I agree, but if we rely on twitter, Femi, Tommy Robinson and the tabloids for our views then I'm not sure it's very helpful. It never seems to be actual mail or sun readers that quote the mail and the sun.

I would not want be a messenger bringing you bad news, in case you shot me.

You seem to give more credibility to your fellow in-denial Brexit ultras on here than to a QC quoting the Daily Mail - just because the medium is Twitter.

You'd have wanted a bit of parchment rather than trust something done on this new-fangled printing press. Or you'll not believe the story unless it comes with Rushi's personal wax seal and delivered in a cleft stick.

Twitter is good for varied views and opinions. You just have to follow people with varied views and opinions to get a nice balance.

People moaning about echo chambers should perhaps ask why they ended up in an echo chamber.

Not sure. You can argue that by taking both extremes you can find the middle. I quite enjoyed listening to lbc and getting an earful of James obrien / sheila foghatty during the day and Farage/Dale at night.

I'm not sure if listening to voices of reason by day and the rantings of a fascist by night finds a middle. Especially now one of them seems to be being proved right.

...because people post their own echo chambers on here? I'm not asking/telling anyone not to use Twitter - just see it for what it is. Following people with varied views and opinions is a nice idea, but not really how twitter works unless you make a particular effort to do so.

I listen to James quite a bit. The others including nick, Ian dale And sheila if I’m in the car when they are on. I think every one of them are decent broadcasters. James I like a great deal. I will go to the Guardian but not much else. Washington post, the new statesman, the bbc is a constant source of disappointment to me. I will watch Tom Bradby on news at ten and channel 4 news are good. Everything has to be fed through a filter. It has never been as difficult to get a balanced view.

Yeah it’s good for articles of interest. It’s like life, a spectrum from the sublime To the banal.
