My point is that this sort of 'research' of extreme views is generally undertaken by extremists. My own 'flawed opinion' on the EU and brexit are informed my the mad extremist rants of the late Tony Benn and Michael Foot - I can post youtube links if you like?

Ha ha ha - you complain about 5 year old clips that "no-one" has seen and offer up ancient evidence from the late Tony Benn and the late Michael Foot lol ? Even your trolling has gone shit these days mate.

No, I'm just saying where I get my info and views from. You seem to travel to some dark corners for yours. For what it's worth I recommend you check out some of the mid 70's Europe debates. Roy jenkins and Ted heath are certainly more eloquent and persuasive europhiles than any of the pro EU clowns we have to endure now with their student/twitter politics.

Dark corners? Page 3935 of this thread. As I say you need to up your trolling game mate.

Its just this whole immigration argument that a couple of you are trying to pour petrol on is non-existent. It's a divisive technique similar to that used by the far right to create division in the giuse of debate. The EU /brexit have nothing to do with immigration and attempts by either brexit or remain extremists to frame the debate in this way are racist and unhelpful to say the least.

So is perpetual goading.

You seem to think that the people in these shared twitter videos have some connection to the people posting on this thread. They don't, yet it's the argument you seemingly want to have. Some sort of pent up frustration that the ones you intend to vent your rage against, aren't actually present, so you take it out on anyone on here who happened to vote to leave?
The connection is you all voted for the same thing. I’m not saying you all voted for that thing for the same reasons but there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that immigration, including non-EU, was a factor for many Brexit voters.

But, as you say, it’s a pointless discussion because we’ve left and we’re supposedly trying to secure the best terms possible for a future trading arrangement with the EU. That’s what we should be discussing and we probably would be if the Brexit fans could stop themselves from gloating and trolling.

Oh ffs, we probably all buy milk at the supermarket too. Utter nonsense, get over it.

Nah mate - its real - watch the wires later today with MP's and the public raging at the increase in numbers of immigrants and Patel probably ordering air strikes on dinghies in the channel to make herself look tough. Was the same pre-referendum as it continues to be its just that for some it makes them uncomfortable to acknowledge after they nailed their colours to a mast and they will die in a ditch maintaining their denials.

No fallacies have been mentioned. You're apparently blind to your own behaviour.
This is what you posted:
No, not everyone who voted leave voted on immigration... but some did... and those that did were lied to, and they helped leave win, so those votes shouldn't be counted, and we should stop brexit, and have another vote because without those votes leave wouldn't have won, and we wouldn't have left, and...”

Find me where anyone has made these arguments recently and I’ll admit that you’re not making up fallacious arguments.

You are obsessed with immigrants /immigration you fucking weirdo. They are just people like you and me, but may happen to speak a different language or have darker skin or whatever. Get over it, this is the 21st century.

Let's leave the personal arguments out of it please, otherwise the thread will get pulled again. Use the ignore or report functions if necessary. Thanks.

No, as has been established, voting to leave the EU was what we all agreed on; everything else, such as reasons, expectations, all vary from voter to voter.

You're one of those who says that control of immigration has nothing to do with being a member of the EU, and I agree.

So why keep bringing it up? If you have an issue with "brexit fans" (as you've called them) gloating then address it to them, and not try and tie others into the same bracket just because we voted for the same thing.

I mean, do I have to have "EFTA" added to my username or something to avoid the constant associations with the "Gammon brigade"?

Ah because it's not recent it means it's never once been said by yourself or others on this thread (which were then pulled and deleted) or others.

I get you. As I said earlier "short memories".

If you're serious about wanting to re-engage with those of us who voted to leave and our opinions on how the talks on the trade deal are progressing, then for me personally, if you are willing to apologise for how you've tried to misrepresent my views, my opinions and my reasonings for wanting to disassociate with the European Union, i'd be more than happy to.

It’s never once been said by me, and I don’t have the time or inclination to see if it’s ever been said in roughly those terms by anyone else. So on the same basis as you not wanting to be associated with the “gammon brigade” that share your position on Brexit, why do you insist on regurgitating a 2016/17 argument that fuck knows who made, and try and apply it in 2020 to everyone who voted remain.

I'm not sure anyone cares why anyone voted remain - it doesn't matter.
