Dutch dairy products, all sour and rotten after days in queues, German machinery, tools, cars, chemicals slowly going out of date, Spanish fruit, Italian cheese and cars, IKEA shutting, etc; etc;
We can make this as difficult as possible for both parties, I think that's what all
the talking with Barnier and Co. must be about, who can do the most damage.
That's the spirit.

What ho .... Pimms on the village green on Sunday whilst watching the cricket .... drinks served by our 'colonial' friends (whilst we ravage their country) .... back home to a roast beef lunch (without a thought that 30% of the population cant afford to feed themselves (but thats because of their ''Flat screen tvs'' and ''ciggies'' ... and nothing to do with the fact the UK pays the lowest welfare in Europe (where has the money gone) ... putting aside your thoughts on the ''scroungers'' and '' immigrants'' who you think have bought this country to its knees but not thinking about the wealthiest 10% who've managed to avoid paying their fare share of tax for the last 10 years. Sleep well knowing that theres 1000's sleeping rough (despite how cold it gets) but hey ? you're ok So you continue to vote for the political party that hurts the people you hate .... the unemployed, the disabled , the single parents, the gays

tomorrow is another day .... but as long as you're ok thats all that matters to you.

I'm a bit surprised this hasn't been mentioned in the media.

Is that because (a) it doesn't do much that can't be done now, or (b) it's a bit embarrassing to make clear that we won't really be restoring the heyday of British fishing? "The Fisheries Act will enable the UK to control who fishes in our waters through a new foreign vessel licencing regime ..." (including a foreign spelling of licensing).

Can you actually point to the post where he or anyone else has said any of this about 'scroungers, immigrants, unemployed, the disabled, single parents, or gays'? If so please quote the posts, and I'll be happy to join you in reporting them.

Or it could be that fish is about as low on the list of priorities as it’s possible to be unless you’re a Brexit ultra.

You demonstrate a few fundamental misunderstandings here.First the EU Army thing is a misnomer -May signed Britain into involvement with the European Defence Agency, the European Defence Fund, the European Defence Industrial Development Programme and PESCO. The EU describes all these together as the start of its military 'integration' leading to the creation of 'a Common Defence' in five years.
The closer integration thing is more a natural consequence of what was created by the totalitarian tip-toe from trading agreement to a political union. EU leaders make no secret of their ambitions in this respect, and in some ways federalism is just the natural progression without a fundamental change in direction.
I'm not sure we would ever be 'forced' to adopt the Euro unless we had both a PM and chancellor who were hell-bent on doing so - the chancellor saved us last time a PM tried it.
The collapse of the EU is probably an undesirable and by no means certain consequence of their economic model being flawed. Basically the disparity between the South Med and central EU economies, and growing annual bill of the net contributors. Sprinkle in a little bit of far right angst about foreigners (I think that's how you spell it) and there may be significant challenges ahead. I hope they don't split up the EU, as just like the US administration seem to think the EU is probably worth the effort to avoid mass slaughter of our youth once or twice every century.
Is this worth reading or is it as accurate as the usual Tuesday lorry queues?

You and MCFC1632 and the rest have been foretelling the future for four years .... Eu Army, Closer integration, being forced to adopt the Euro... the collapse of the European Union etc etc

Obviously you and others are 'estimable clairvoyants' ..... all of this to retain fish we don't eat. (oh and exclude forriners)
You aim this post directly at @Ancient Citizen and I

Re the bit I have bolded - can you just confirm that you are indeed suggesting that he and I have racist tendencies

Or if you were not - can you can confirm that you did not intend that and edit your post please, because it reads that you are suggesting that

"...and I"? ... aimed at I?

You've argued that wanting to control immigration isn't racist yet you're twisting his words about immigration control (excluding foreigners) into an accusation of racism.

I suppose we could have another diversion onto how many racists welcome more immigration but I was more bothered about the grammar.

For balance he did leave out the baby eating bishop of Bath and Wells

Perhaps it is just another example of a poster having made a judgement on the value of entering into exchanges with you beyond simply correcting you?

Did you used to work for the HO?

Being a Salford lad I used to rely on admin staff to review my submissions to SoS, ministers etc. make grammatical corrections etc.

They of course needed me for all decision making and knowledge - but their contributions were also valued

It's now born out of seething frustration mate, the same tired excuse of racism hurled whenever things are not going your way. A Brexit topic, and possibly the most unhinged contributor on here rants about scroungers, roast beef that nobody can afford, Flat screen tellys, what I'm purported to think about immigrants, tax dodgers, ciggies, rough sleepers, and how chilly it's getting.
Then, I'm branded a hater of the unemployed, gays, the disabled and single parents to round it all off nicely.
I've been on here a while, have never been banned, or called for anyone to be,
and will not be doing so anytime soon, but will just totally disregard the insane outbursts of this particular odious prick.

I assumed he lives in a tier 1 area and the pubs opened yesterday or something.

I do not visit the other threads on this subforum very often, but when I do it stands out quite clearly that there are a certain group of posters that 'haunt' them. Some just pour out hate and bile and others appear to be political activists.

Also, some I find really informative - no matter what their views. You get to know which ones are which - but unfortunately there is a lot of hatred and bile to wade through before you get to the posts of those worth listening to or engaging with
