Another new Brexit thread

There is nothing to stop individual EU states from approving a vaccine in their own country. Germany for example...

So it would appear that we're in the same position as every country in the EU. It's just that our MHRA has acted slightly quicker than some other countries, which is absolutely nothing to do with Brexit, and would have been more difficult after the end of transition.
It just highlights how brilliant some of our institutions, companies and mind are.

The country maybe totally fooked but there’s still some great people knocking about.

Who? The Swiss? How the fuck should I know and why would I care?

Just enjoy your US/German developed, Belgium manufactured vaccine and be grateful we’ve got the fucking thing and fingers crossed it actually works.

Honestly, you tedious, nationalist full kit wankers suck the fucking joy out of every bit of good news.

The EMA aren’t meeting until the 29th, therefore each country’s regulator can’t act until they do. You did read the FT article didn’t you?

"Under EU rules, the Pfizer vaccine must be authorised by the EMA, but EU countries can use an emergency procedure that allows them to distribute a vaccine at home for temporary use."

They don’t seem to be treating this as an emergency then.

Don't seem, but that's just an assumption you want to make, so you can score some points.

Ok, they’re not currently treating it as an emergency.

“The European Medicines Agency will meet by Dec. 29 to conclude its assessment of the vaccine. If approved, the vaccine could begin to be distributed before year's end, BioNTech said in a statement Tuesday”

Under EU rules a member state can authorise the use of a vaccine under emergency health provisions. This is the basis for our authorisation given we still operate under EMA rules.

Hungary, an EU country, has authorised the use of the Russian Covid vaccine for example.

Seriously, this has fuck all to do with Brexit and this attempt to claim every passing fart as the ‘glories of Brexit’ is fucking embarrassing. All it does is make it look like we rushed authorisation just to get the bragging rights which will do nothing to make people feel confident in taking it.

I get that you guys have fuck all to actually brag about, but this is too important for your juvenile games.

Their reasons are ?
I don't know, you don't know. They could have have good reasons they could have wrong reasons. Not my problem, yet you want to make it a brexit thing, which is your problem nobody elses.

I'm not bragging; just pointing out the drawbacks of a bureaucracy
