Apart from Bob K i am possibly the least 'anti-immigrant' member on here.
Anti-immigrant or anti-immigration? It's helpful to distinguish. The problem is with people who are anti-immigration because they are anti-immigrant.

I've just had lunch (at a pavement table, brrr) with my French friend who reminded me of yet another EU immigrant creating jobs in Britain - Schreiber who built office furniture in the UK (and sent his English workers on trips to Germany to learn techniques). Is that the sort of immigrant / immigration people are against?

Nope, Sorry it was you. While stopping business exploiting immigrates and driving down salaries may have been your ultimate point ( which I do recall you mentioning a few times in our debates ) you were, like it or not, very vocal about stopping free movement back in the day.
Then you completely misunderstood the point I was getting across.

Why am I not surprised. People like you only ever interpret what they want, contrary to what they are actually being told.

There are other people in this country apart from me and you. How we saw the bus and poster is not indicative of the rest of the voting public.
The fucking bus went on a tour of the country, was the backdrop for numerous photo opp's and appeared in the national press front pages almost every day. It was not 'ignored' by many.
And less of the personal shit.
Take your own advice.

Nothing "personal" about pointing out you went OTT about the poster and tried to attribute it to the mindset of everyone who voted to leave.

Proving the point. You didn't give a shit about a racist poster.
Crikey, I'm lost now. Which poster was this? I thought it was the NHS poster on the side of a bus that was being discussed which, for all the debate about it, wasn't racist in any way, unless you're referring to posters on here who you deem to be racist?! Confused.com

hah. "people like you".

perhaps you just didn't put your point across clearly. which you didn't. a lot. ever think of that? thought not. its always others not you.

back on block you go.
I never asked you to engage with me, and it isn't my fault you couldn't understand my views, but you feel free to have your little temper tantrum.

I lose nothing either way. I see you saw sense to remove the "bell end" remark, so go you!

I would suggest you need to actually look at what you post and how you post it before blaming others for not understanding your points. You are the common factor in a lot of "misunderstandings" on this thread.

Sounds like a deal is close now:

Pretty sad that we're all hoping he gets a shit deal so he can brag about it, as the alternative is insane limbo. The thought of getting even an ok deal doesn't really cross my mind as a possibility at this point

I explain in brief what I mean and then when it gets misinterpreted I explain in full detail.

Why would I continue to say "I have no issues with FoM" if I had issues with FoM? I had issues with businesses exploiting FoM to favour cheap labour. I've been very consistant on that issue, but you refuse to accept it. Why?

You also thought I never advocated for EFTA membership, and I told you that I always have. Anyone who knows my stance knows i'm an EFTA advocate. I'm not against Europe, i'm not even against the EU, i'm against the direction it has been heading these past 20 years. You don't understand my position because you don't want to hear it to begin with.

Sounds like a deal is close now:

I'm in two minds whether a shit deal is worse than no deal. At least with no deal it will be a short sharp shock and we'll have to do something drastic to sort things out. A shit deal will be like a lingering death. We will just gradually fall behind where we would have been but it will be slow and insidious and difficult to recognise as a problem.

A deal where we can still frictionlessly buy the shit we need to eat, do business and get medicines is pretty much a must.

All our ports are already full to the point of standstill with all the extra stock companies are having to try and stockpile, delaying everything and causing vast amounts of perishable food to go off. That's before all the new delays have come in.

Seriously? It was a reply about "Farage's poster". If you really don't know what that is, google "Farage's poster".

Do you not think that maybe the EU finally realised that they were faced with a valid walk away option and decided to move towards compromise.

Who knows. Maybe they caved in completely.
Hope not. It’d be great for you shower but shit for us.

We might even have to give NI back.

We're going to get the delays anyway, Deal or No Deal. The main difference will be the tariffs that will be applied on top of the other costs related to non-tariff barriers which our exit from the CU will guarantee irrespective of the deal unless it miraculously breaks every red line that Johnson has set.

What do want to eat shit for?

I’m sceptical of anything these lot do but how do we know it’s shit?

It’s obviously going to be worse for trade than remaining but if it’s mostly free trade across the board, it’s going to be good enough.

Nah.

Anyway you can keep NI ;-) Bunch of feckers.
