Ah those moving goal posts are back. It isn't what you said in your original post at all.

Actually it reeks of privilege that these minor points have now been classed as "inconveniences"

"I haves to waits in lines for longers! Oh noes!"
You really shouldn't lie. Page 4763 if you want to check it yourself.

Edit: you even responded to it, you tit! XD

Yes you did but you weren't talking about those living in poverty around the world anymore than I was. You were talking about the majority of people in this country as I still am.
Just this country, eh? Then you're assuming incorrectly again.

Presenting passport checks as an inconvenience in the way you and others were and then expecting sympathy for it, backfired on you. When you presented the argument that "it's easy for so many people, therefore travelling is not a privilege" i'd say you're right, you DIDN'T think about others around the world.

I was thinking about others and those like myself, around the world, hence the statement. To me, travelling abroad for recreation definitely is a privilege people enjoy, and they are welcome to enjoy it, so long as they acknowledge that it is not something able to be enjoyed by everyone.

Problem with you is, you seem to regard the entire world and everyone's circumstances, to be like the UK. It isn't. Fuck, you even seem to expect everyone's cirumstances in the UK to be the same.

It is a little amusing to hear those that (and quite rightly) attack the government for universal credit for being too low to help families, now have mates on it that go away more than the average household and it’s funny to them that Bluemooners who work cannot afford to go.

I am in the camp that Brexit won’t help the poor, of course it won’t but is the sneering about holidays really necessary?
Yeah.
Take a break guys.

Yes they can be. But even then they are out of reach for many people and because it isn't for you, it does not dispute that fact. You are comletely disregarding those who do not enjoy that 'privilege' of being able to have affordable holidays whenever they wish through whatever circumstance.

The majority of people in the country don't rely on food banks, so in your view poverty must not exist. Your ignorance is astounding.

but you seem to blaming the Eu for it ..... and not the uk Government ...

I blamed both.

Thankfully leaving the EU was the first step. Can't make changes to your own system if there's another one more influential in place. And as i've already stated, I voted to leave because I no longer wished to be a part of an EU which I saw as corrupt, power obsessed and dominated by a political ruling class.

but you didn't see that in your own government ?

Pathetic argument imo. Most people do take some kind of holiday and don’t look on it as a privilege. That’s just fact. I’m sorry for the minority that can‘t take a break but it doesn't warrant the concerted attack.
It wasn't a "concerted attack". Anyone whinging about first world problems like that is going to attract ridicule.

I note you've mentioned nothing about how I was being disregarded about discussing the issue due to my circumstances. How odd.

I think we should probably get back on topic now please gentlemen.

So, are we expecting a deal to be done in the coming days or not?

I don't think they are capable of such an agreement. 1000 pages of legalese littered with traps and tricks. Better to start from Jan 1 and endure the avocado famine for a few weeks.

On another subject the EU have released the fishing quota for 2021. I think they've realised there's none left.

Lol - the penny may be dropping

But you are right - in the main - Remainers on this thread do not do detail - or indeed think forwards, rather they just limit their thinking to the comfort of years gone by

Luckily - for them - they have/had been able to depend on others to do the 'hard yards' of analysis regards the future if we Remained

Will they ever 'man-up' and thank us?

Give it a rest, mate.

He's right you know. You've properly seen your arse there.
Oh I tell you what he’s brilliant at taking a debate down a twisty rabbit hole, he’s right though I’m the tit for following him down it again. A question asking what will be better out of the eu got derailed into whether a holiday is for the privileged minority in this country. Turned out he was on about world poverty, not the average UK citizens. I should have known better.

Mate, I’m sorry for your circumstances and that you can’t go on a break. It still doesn’t warrant the argument though. @blueparrot only said what I have said which is typically, in the U.K., people go on a break. They don’t see it as a privilege either. Travel to the EU will be a minor inconvenience compared to before. Nothing wrong with that opinion imo.

How does Boris get out of the corner he has backed himself into? He has to do a deal but the ERG / tory headbangers have to be convinced its better than no deal and they may have to smell the rotting corpse of british manufacturing/farming first. Yes there will be a deal but maybe early January. He cant allow himself to get in a position where the ERG accuse him of not pushing hard enough. So he does the deal he could have done 6 months ago once the shit starts to hit the fan.

Pathetic as ever.
