he had a severe knee injury and when recovering bought himself out of his contract because he felt he was never going to get the chance to recover to full match fitness at barca

This. Don't worry about Barcelona letting him go, they've released/sold some youngsters who have turned out to be absolute gems.

I might be wrong but don't Spain and other countries have different laws regarding the employment of kids & that's what Wenger uses to his benefit when pinching kids from foreign academies ?

LOL. You make him sound like the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. All im saying, is that im pretty sure that if Barca had wanted to keep him at the time and had put in any effort into doing so, then it is doubtful imo that he would have ever left in the first place.

Not sure in the case of Fabregas but i know that other foreign kids have been offered terms by English clubs that the foreign clubs are not legally allowed to give because of the age of these players.

Wenger was able to offer Fabregas a pro contract that Spanish Law didn't allow Barca to offer him, so they couldn't really put up a fair fight. I know a few Barca fans from meeting some studying abroad and they seem to feel as though Arsenal unrightfully took him from them.

just to clear it all up for you.

Assulin was at barca and played exactly the same as messi and in the same position too.

he was starting to break through into the team getting a couple of appearences here and there but then he got a bad knee injury which he is now over and he couldnt get back in so he decided to buy out his own contract and move on for another challenge because he never thought he could get infront of messi and i dont blame the fucker.

yes blackburn did offer him a trial and he spoke to fat sam but then never turned up because he wanted a bigger club and now decided to have a trial at city and we like the look of him and will be signing him as the article suggests.

just because he didnt get infront of lionel messi doesnt mean hes shit ffs.
