I think people are missing the point here. Self deprecating humour is what we are all about.
keep the original tune and lyrics that this no mark is singing. It would become a classic.
 
I thought the point of self depreciating humour is about accepting shortcoming and flaws and exaggerating them for comedic effect, to show you're ok with something. It doesn't work when its made up/fabricated.

Well it can still be funny if done right but that's more like sarcasm then. The trouble with sarcasm is, these days these twitter prats who hate City, will probably not see it for what it is.

We’re so little that they go on and on about us all the time. We are really punching above our weight to be on their minds so much. Bit like the old Elvis song ‘ we are always on the minds, we are always on their minds’ .

United have more songs about City than we do ourselves… but they don’t care about us!
