Would you be happy to win nothing this season if it meant that we bloodied in Denayer and Nacho and maybe even Lopes? Was thinking about this earlier and I think I would be ok with it. Especially considering Pellers has only 12-24 months left it wouldn't be the end of the world for the new manager to have 2 or 3 young prem ready players who can contribute for the best part of a decade.

So would you be patient enough to allow that to happen? Thoughts?

No. Aguero and Silva would be well fucked off if we prioritised this season to blooding youth. the Club are in stage where it needs to win constantly, not to have off seasons.

No....want to win as much as possible every season, the youngsters will get their chance when the management think they are ready.
Then it will be solely down to each individual to take that chance, which to be fair, ain't gonna be easy with the squad we have.

It's about now,not the future football, yes you have to blood youngsters in for the future but you ask any manager,it's about the now,and their jobs are all result dependant.

That is the harsh reality of football today am afraid, and to be honest from my perspective it will be criminal if we were not to win a trophy this season, but nothing would surprise me after being a Blue for over 35 years

Sort of see what ur saying, but football fans are notoriously impatient , only one game in and already im sweating on every single point that we play for!
Its s no from me, i want our trophy back!

No. I wouldn't be happy because we've got the best equipped squad in the league and finishing with no silverware will mean we've underperformed for the second season running.
That said I think we'll win at least 2 trophies so I'm confident your scenario won't take place.
The young lads will get their opportunity when the time is right and they're ready.

No. Absolutely not. It's a ridiculous mindset to have imo. I've said previously, i don't get the fascination on here with putting the progression of the academy players above anything else. It should be a bonus, we should never sacrifice quality or trophies for it. I want to win, if the winning squad includes a few academy players then great, nice bonus, but if we've had to ship them all out because they're not good enough to play at the very top level then so be it. Stop thinking of them as academy players and accept them as just another player in our first team as that is now what they are. their academy status should only be noted when it comes to squad lists and quota's

Absolutely not. They will get a game when they are good enough. If they don't turn out to be good enough then we wave bye bye to them and don't give them a second thought.

In any sport, if you focus on playing people just because they're young, you will never play your best side, it's as simple as that.

Why not be greedy and play them "graduates" in certain games (COC, FA cup & lower prem teams) we can still go for trophies and still have them involved with games.

The whole idea of having squad players is for them to come in and do a job for the team while the first choice is unavailable. It's up to them to make the decision difficult for the manager.
