Manchester City are maintaining their interest in Dinamo Zagreb prospect Ante Coric.
Club scouts have followed the 19-year-old attacking midfielder for most of the season and held tentative talks in January.
Coric has been capped at U21 level and has been likened in style to City's David Silva. He turned down Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich when he was just 11 years old to link up with Red Bull Salzburg but returned to Zagreb in 2013 for £710,000.
City scouts watched him play for Croatia U21s against Spain last month and attended the weekend derby with Zagreb but Coric stayed on the bench. Chelsea and Real Madrid made enquiries about him in January also.
Meanwhile, City defender Pablo Zabaleta has admitted he will consider his future in the summer.
The Eastlands crowd favourite has interest from Inter Milan, has one year left on contract and at 31 accepts he may have to look for a new challenge ahead of Pep Guardiola's arrival in the summer.
