It's not enabled outside the US at the moment as far as I can tell, plus you need a specification high enough. It's not that bad Norton, it does seem to run pretty much in the background for me, although their browser extensions are gash, so I have all those turned off.Don't know about sneakily as they seem quite open about it. It doesn't look to be enabled by default either, none the less a good reason not to use Norton though.
Always feel like I'm in a time bubble when I see people still talking about using extra antivirus software lolIf you are using Windows 10/11 you do not need any additional anti-virus software at all Windows Defender is sufficient The most important thing to do is ensure your always install the Windows updates Not one IT security expert when asked the most important thing to prevent your system being compromised list anti virus s/w at all
I use McAfee Total Protection, purely because I get multiple licences a VPN and a password manager included. When I eventually upgrade my laptop I'll probably look at alternative options.Always feel like I'm in a time bubble when I see people still talking about using extra antivirus software lol
Same here, although I use the paid malware bytes version. Must have relied on just that combo plus Nord VPN occasionally and never had any issues - and I spend most of my life looking at gilf squirters and gay midget porn. For Windows 10 I use the built-in WinDefender plus Malwarebytes Pro but the free Malwarebytes is probably sufficient for most purposes.
You don’t need it Windows defender with your OS updates installed promptly is better There is a school of thought that having additional s/w can in fact make a system more vulnerableI use McAfee Total Protection, purely because I get multiple licences a VPN and a password manager included. Even the company I'm working with at the moment have now uninstalled 3rd party antivirus and are using Defender. They're a multinational with tens of thousands of users so they must have confidence that it's good enough. You don’t need it Windows defender with your OS updates installed promptly is better There is a school of thought that having additional s/w can in fact make a system more vulnerable
