Reigan is very young. Not sure how easy it would be to fast track him.

You cannot have too many good players. Form, injuries, suspensions or just too many games means everyone still gets plenty of games.

There’s too much of a drop off to Savinho and Bobb, never mind some kid out the youth team . Get bloody Semenyo in, we need wingers who can score and create goals!

Semenyo isn't a player to stockpile as a squad player.

We should really be looking at players with the profile of Alvarez/Jesus. Good enough to compete for a place, young enough to accept not starting every week, and with the potential to be sold for a lot of money after a few years if they don't turn into world class starters.

If we sign Semenyo to be a squad player, he's likely going to be 27 by the time he finds his feet in Pep's system, we might get 2/3 good seasons out of him, and then he'll be the wrong side of 30 and we'll be looking to replace him but won't get any money for it.

If this transfer happens, to make sense it really has to be as someone who's going to come straight into the core group of 14/15 players who start most games and gives us something the squad is missing.

The guy has only scored 26 top flight goals, Half of which have come in 2025, but he's also not scored for 2 months. It's looking more like he's a good midtable player who had a purple patch than he's just some late bloomer who is going to score 20+ goals a season for the rest of his career.

I can't help but feel if Doku goes out for a significant amount of time, that would be us done.
