It's all guesswork from us because we don't know what's going on exactly, if he is coming and he knows it he would be barking mad to play, thats just common sense. Its nothing like a player wanting to come but his club arent allowing it.

Its not a hard concept.

Didn't Mahrez go on some sort of a go slow before he came to us.
And Sterling went on the missing list at Liverpool, calling in sick.
I think its more to do with individual players than clubs themselves.

Yeah agree he might say he has a knock an injury!

Basically, he is their player to do what they want with until we pay the release clause....so its in our hands (or any other club who would wish to pay his release clause).

Until that moment Id expect him to play the next game for Bournmouth and their manager has already indcated that is what is going to happen so people need to suck it up and just get on with it.

The moment we pay the fe then as fans and a club we can have a say in what does and doesnt happen...until that point its all just noise pollution

He did that’s rare and we wouldn’t of told him to do that and we didn’t get him we had to wait to get him..

You not think we’ll beat Chelsea with our current team who has won 8 in a row?

I’d rather we beat Chelsea anyway and then Bournemouth have a much better chance at a win/draw with him playing.
You must know by now that nothing is ever guaranteed in the PL? Chelsea are a very good side on their day. I’d rather have him in our squad for that game, than not.

Would Pep even play him? He would have had no time at all to train with us? He definitely wouldn’t play 90 min.

From my view we can control our own 3 points with a good in-form, settled line up and we can also have a small, but possibly significant, interference in Arsenals game.

A win / win.

Pmsl, we are just discussing it as fans do. You are free to not even read the thread until the official statement comes. I think we know that the actual club who holds the players contract can ask a player to play. Fans like to chat about these things, you can suck that up if you like and get on with it :-)

I’d rather have him available to bring on if we need a winner. We can’t do that if he’s fucking about half heartedly for Bournemouth.

Which could just as easily happen if he was playing for us on sunday. Difference being, in that scenario, he'd already be a contracted City player, with the fee already having been paid, whether upfront or on the drip.
Didnt Laporte break his ankle while we were trying to sign him & he stayed at Bilbao out of loyalty

It's a little bit more complicated than that. Players have been known to 'pick up knocks' in training before a high profile move to a big club. Absolutely no way for the selling club to prevent that or force the player to play.

However, I suspect we want him to play in this game, he's a huge player for Bournemouth and highly unlikely to start for us. If he plays and scores the winner, he starts his City career as a fucking legend.

We have no idea do we ,everyone is guessing and putting forward imaginary scenarios. None of us know whether there is a release clause for the summer or there isn’t.If there isn’t and he gets up to 25 + G/A he could go for more, of he loses form and goes for less.
Besides none of this is down to Bournemouth it’s out of their hands,We could trigger the move tomorrow and its done, or we negotiate with Bournemouth for better terms and he plays Saturday.Balls in our court.
The rag cvnts would love getting one over us if they got him at the end of the transfer wingow, even if it meant paying 20m more

Or gets an injury and fucks up his move, how much gut busting do you expect from a guy whose on the cusp of getting a big pay rise from a club who also offer a great chance of medals.

My view was Leicester blocked Mahrez' move despite prior agreements and him formally putting in a transfer request - deal broke down as Leicester refused Citys initial offers which led to him to going on strike for 2 games. They later reinstated him in the squad relatively quickly.

Sterling did not agree to a new contract in 2015 and continued not to come to agreement. Swamp rats rejected initial City bids, Sterling asked out of their preseason Asia tour and missed two days of training reportedly due to 'illness'. Deal went through shortly after.

Neither were nearly the nappy soiling toys out of the pram tantrum Isak pulled.
