Antoine Semenyo | Medical at City Thursday - Sky (p230)

Is it by 12pm today that he needs to have been registered for? If so then it could still get done or that part may have actually been done already and we are just working on the announcement, doing the media work etc?

Nah, we’d have heard an update if that was the case. Seems to me like he will just be available for the Brighton game, whether he plays for Bournemouth against Arse in the meantime I have no idea.

Lol, to be fair Sterling was as complicit at times!

Sterling would have missed a couple of sitters but kept going and managed to get a goal. When he missed it was often frustration we didn't win 3-1 instead of 2-1 or 4-0 instead of 3-0. He was a confidence player undoubtedly but he generally kept getting into good positions and 131 goals in 339 games for City shows he wasn't too bad! Savinho has 5 in 71 and Doku has 17 in 107.

You don’t know what you have ‘til it’s gone. Sterling and Mahrez were like Messi and Maradona compared to fucking Savinho and Bobb.

Quite reasonable to assume that we are happy to pay the release clause but would like to do so in installments, Bouremouth may have agreed but on the understanding that they keep him until the 10th.
Is there the possibility that we can pay in instalments?
Thought it had to be a one off payment.

Correct. Sterling was consistent in his movement and chance creation which meant you could ignore many of his misses ( ultimately cost us in champions league though ) Savinho will ghost for large parts and then pop up and miss which is more glaring. Also biggest difference between the 2 is mentality. Savinho is soft in general, he hates contact and it hinders his thought process.

I have heard similar. I think the release clause implies 1 single payment so if Bournemouth wanted to be awkward, they are probably within their rights to say, £60m straight up plus add-ons, or no deal but their best interests are probably served by negotiating so that they get more money but spread over time. I am guessing here based on reports on other transfers.

Our squad strength was unreal. We could play a second string in the league cup that was packed with outstanding players who would walk into most other 11s in the league. It does feel like we're getting back there gradually and we're better than I thought we'd be this season, but we've still got too many who can get away with consistently underperforming because we don't have anyone else to keep them benched.
