Antoine Semenyo

Liverpool bound. Their playstyle is better for him . He is very direct - uses pace and strength more than being a pure dribbler against low blocks .

Very good player but not for us. Firstly, he's yet another one who would prefer the left wing, not something we need considering doku, marmoush and savinho all perform best for us there already.

If we are to sign a winger, it has to be somebody really special, somebody who already is or has the clear potential to be one of the finest wingers around, I really like him but semenyo isn't that level.

We have plenty of options already in the same bracket as him, i dont see him as a notable upgrade worth pursuing. Also would have to have a serious think about bringing in a second forward and third player of African descent, losing them all for AFCON could be a season defining instance. If we are going to spend big money in Jan. It would surely be on a central midfielder. We are short in that position.

Will be the Diaz replacement at Liverpool and I reckon they 100% buy him in January.

Very good player, but with Doku's rise, why would we risk upsetting his current trajectory.

Pep will give the team until summer to prove it's worth and I doubt he will upset a developing team in January.

He plays on the left and we're already stacked there. I know he can play on the right but its not his best position. Nunes kept him rather quiet when we played them recently as well. For me somewhere spurs seems like a perfect fit for him. Only shame in that is they won't be so keen to give us the rumoured £70m for Savinho then.

We need a top tier right winger not someone who is filling in out there

Can't see us going for him unless we r shipping 1 or 2 (unlikely) same with the dippers I think wirtz will end up starting wide left or even ekitike I also think whatever money they have left will be spent on defensive reinforcements. Might be a shoot out between spuds and rags unless villa can raise the funds as Newcastle and arsenal seem pretty stocked in that area.

I think we need to work out how we're going to integrate the £65m Omar Marmoush into the side before we think about spending the same again on another attacking player. He can't just be the bit-part Haaland backup for how much we spent on him. Savinho and Bobb should be our backups with us figuring out a Doku, Haaland, Marmoush, Foden/Cherki starting set up.

Liverpool are stacked on their left side, seems an odd deal, unless they’ll risk him being as effective down the right.

Keeping Semenyo, Ekitike, Gakpo and Isak happy won’t be easy.

City are not going to enter a bidding war. And any player who "presents" himself to the media as at sale at this price basically excludes himself from being at City.

Shame because I really rate him.
That’s bullshit . Wirtz presented himself, Marmoush did. Basically any player we bought did. Also I am always confused by the sentence „ we don’t enter bidding wars“ we literally did several times.

Yeah maybe I meant we dont usually outbid other clubs in these sort of things. But I dont think we're going to go for him, especially if it gets silly.

Didn’t do much when we played them, seems to be a bit over hyped.
Much quieter but still a threat and it was small margins at times. In other meetings, he’s genuinely shredded us and players have just bounced off him. Not sure we can accommodate him but someone will.

If Semenyo wants to play for us and doesn't demand massive wages, there is no chance City let him join a rival for the low buy-out clause. We've got some talent on the wings for sure, but Semenyo is more ready to be a game changer at the highest levels.

Even if you look past our squad and look solely through a business perspective. If City can attain this asset for a discounted price while simultaneously blocking him from going to a rival, why wouldn't they?

Its not so much Liverpool I worry about, I figured they'd fall off in a big way this season. Mostly I don't want him going to Arsenal. I think he's a step up on the current lads they have. Would fit them well.

He's a good player. Wouldn't hate to see him in the City blue. He did end our 32-game PL unbeaten streak.
