Not good enough. We rushed in with Nunes who's OK but really not at the level we need. We need someone who can potentially push Ake and Gvardiol out the way completely, that's the point of our squad.

We need a RB, CB, CM, DM, Striker and Winger before LB. . 6 players over 2 windows. So 3 in January and 4 (including a keeper in Summer).

I'd say the 3 be a RB, DM and CM....

RB Vanderson, CM Alex Baena and DM Samuele Ricci.

I rarely watch the rags unless we are playing the clowns. I did however watch them opening Friday game of the season. Fulham were far the better team, but didn't win. This was mainly down to Robinson giving the ball away high up the pitch (it happened several times) when Fulham were piling forward. Saying that, he would probably fit in well with the current City strategy?

I watched him recently v Liverpool and thought he was excellent, if he can do it there

I'm not a massive fan but he could be our left sided version of Walker.

Very limited going forward but can keep pace with the fastest players around. Which is useful due to the amount of times we get countered.

Gives it away loads. Makes many mistakes and loses his man at the far post.

Buy a legit LB and then Gvardiol shifts across to his actual position giving us Dias/Akanji/Gvardiol/Ake/Stones at Centre half which if anything means we have one to many if anything… Certainly no urgency to buy one imo

Different positions and thought processes at full back compared to centre back. He’s certainly demonstrated he’s not a left back (not his fault entirely) but as a supposed generational talent at centre half we must see if he is that, or if he’s error strewn there also.

we set up into a back three anyway, even with a high LB and him in the back four, he'll still be in the same area/position unless we switch to a back four which seems unlikely with the RB options, pep is all in on this for now.

Being asked to be an attacking LB and cover LCB/CB as well right now, with no midfield help. System seems not to cover the deficiencies in the personnel we have. Too many players being asked to cover two positions imo.

This would be a must signing for me. Get him in and let Josko play in the centre. Rico at LB and Walker at right back is a nightmare for us. This lad is quality and would be attainable in January.

We could have got it done when we were first linked with him in summer '23. Will be much harder to do now.

Gvardiol IS a LB.

If he isnt, then he definitely isnt a CB as he is worse as part of the back 3, his best moments come when he has license to attack.

Antonee would be a backup to that option of our LB attacking.

This would completelt simpify our RB situation, as that player simply needs to tuck in as the 3rd CB.

With Ake always injured, id like Antonee, another LCB (when Ake is out), and 2 RCB/RB for Walker and Lewis, with Stones being at best backup to them.

Watching him today you can see a startling difference to our fullbacks - he is supporting attacks but when they lose possession he has the athletic ability to get back. Looks very strong and has a great cross on him too. We need this sort of player at the back. Walker no longer can get back when caught high up the pitch and Rico doesn't have that ability to pass on the run. Josko is the curious one because he is actually very strong but his confidence has all but gone. For me we need to make a call on him to be the centre back and stick to that. After all we brought him as one of the world's most promising centre backs. I really believe If we get two fullbacks who have the ability of a Robinson type it will help whoever plays centrally - whether it be Ruben, Manu or Josko.

Currently we get bugger all defensively from whoever plays fullback and none of them can overlap and supply Erling.
