According some press in Germany ("Stuttgarter Zeitung" = Stuttgarter News), City (as Chelsky as well) are behind him. Stuttgart want 18m Euro for the promisory defender...

VfL (Wolfsburg) manager Klaus Allofs told BILD (German newspaper) also: "Nothing is decided yet (about the sign of Rüdiger). When clubs like Chelsea or Manchester City join, it can be tough. "

    About the player:

66 games in the Bundesliga, 2 goals, 1 assist. With Germany 6 games, no goals.

Stuttgart (my team in Germany) are selling themselves short IMO. Very good player with bags of potential.

But, a bit overrated, or it isnt???

Thats the feeling I had with the germans comments there... but, of course... the prices paid in England are mostly not seen as "rasonable" for most of the german football fans... its felt just like they were a world of difference... :/

Linked with United last year but they went for Flojo and Hummels instead.

Lots of links lately. Lot's of complaining about CB's and but people rarely post any options other than 'laporte and VVD'. Personally VVD doesn't do it for me. Anybody watched much of this guy? Thoughts?

Don't know a whole lot about bailly either. I've watched maybe 8-10 united matches and I'm not sure he has featured in more than two or three. Athletic and raw type, you'd say?

I haven't watched Rudiger a lot either. But the few times I did, that's what I saw.
