Presume he won't play Sunday but hopefully it's not too serious and he'll be ok for the World Cup? From what I remember I don't think there was any contact when he picked up the knock so did he pull something?

it started a bit before he got hurt but I think it all went downhill after his exit

I'm surprised there not been any mention of this, especially considering he's an England regular.

update on OS

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2010/May/Barry-has-sprained-ankle" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/20 ... ined-ankle</a>

Gareth Barry will see a specialist on Friday after limping out of the defeat to Spurs.

The England midfielder has sprained his right ankle but the full extent of any damage will not be known until further investigation has taken place.

He will definitely miss the Blues last game of the season at West Ham on Sunday afternoon as will fellow ankle victim Stephen Ireland.

Its funny, but I don't rate him at all, he doesn't look like a winner to me, and his mysterious injury against Villa was quite predictable.

That said we missed him last night when he went off, though I couldn't see what he was doing before he went off that we missed.

Not arsed about England and the WC though.
