Any scouse city fans...

There was a scouse city fan annoying everybody in Lokeren, but he was claiming to be Joey Barton's brother, so he's probably not a blue any more

Don't know if it's the brother who's now doing time for murder!!

In the 80s and 90s I used to deliver all over Liverpool and the Wirral and I didn't meet anyone who wasn't either a Liverpool or Everton fan with the exception of a couple of Tranmere fans in Birkenhead, or "jerk in bed" as the Scousers called it.

I've known one for a good few years now. Top bloke from a family of mainly Evertonians. Not sure how he ended up supporting City. Seen him in Mary D's a few times down the years and the poor bugger was once lumbered with baby-sitting Tits Out Jackie on one of the many occasions she was wasted lol.

Why would Cockneys support Liverpool or Everton ?

I was in a bar on Borough High St, London a few years back and the place was full of cockneys sporting Liverpool shirts watching the match.

lived in Pool for 5 years in the 80s.

Used to go in a pub on a Thursday night next door to Anfield and there was a old Blue in there and my landladys son was a Blue(I think I got the flat when I enquired when they found out)but not any others.

More sympathy than anything else at that time to be honest.

I live in Huyton (moved here in '88), all my scouse mates support either lfc or efc, it seems to be a support your local team thing as guys from nearby St Helens or Wigan tend to support their local rugby league teams. lfc have many supporters from outside the city, and efc have a strong base in North Wales. It's great fun to wind up both sets of supporters, more and more they resort to 'history'. Bluenoses are often more touchy, and easier to wind up.

One of the bluenoses refused to pay up on a bet. So when efc played Chelski in the cup final, he went to wembley and I called around to his house and decked it out with lfc memorabilia (my son supported them to my shame) and took some photos on my mobile. Then into Liverpool city centre to watch the game in a pub with some kopite mates and cheer on Chelski.

They loved the pics and even my bluenose mates at Wembley did when I sent them and they realised it was the tight git's house that had the make-over. He got home about 4 am, pissed, bad-tempered as efc had lost, Then had to take down all the kopite banners and pictures straight away, waking up the neighbours as he cursed doing it. When he finished and went in the house, he found I'd posted all odd socks through his letter box. efc were planning to move their ground to Kirkby, where even scousers used to joke you couldn't leave a pair of socks on the clothesline overnight without them being stolen. lfc fans would throw socks on the efc pitch at derby games.

He never paid up on that bet but I had my money's worth of fun at his expense.

Did you consider putting him up for adoption at the time?

Liverpool has huge cockney support.I really dont know why, maybe the leftovers from their glory hunters in the 70/80s?My experience is that all mancs are blue, evertonians are 65% scouse and the rest welsh, the red dippers has 35% scouse and rest a mix of norwegians, irish and cockneys and the rags are cockneys and irish

Really depends on your definition of scouse, because there isn't many in actual liverpool - but in merseyside there are quite a lot of blues like here in southport you see colours everywhere, it's beautiful!
