I was in DC for the Reading FA Cup game earlier this year. I jumped a taxi and went all round DC looking for a bar showing the game, they were either shut on the Sunday lunch or did not have the match on. Finally, right on kick off time found the Guards pub in Georgetown where they had quite a few screens and were happy to try to tune in to the match. Had a great afternoon with good food and drinking Blue Moon beer.

The Guards pub is on M Street NW

Thanks bt 4 I just clicked on the Guards and thats in the area. Looked at the prices for food and its dead reasonable-especially for that area. Will ring them and ask if they have Fox Soccer Channel....

the best place to go is lucky bar just down from dupont circle.

lucky bar is the DC-based bar for Arsenal supporters, so I'd avoid it on Sunday if possible

Why? I've watched City games in a few bars in the states and never had any trouble. One Saturday morning in Nevada Smiths, New York, there was 4 games going on with fans from 8 clubs in there, vast majority American, sat eating breakfast and drinking coffee, no trouble at all and a lot of banter when a goal went in on one of the games.

Last season we were watching City v Wast Ham in The Hatter. In walks this bloke and his girl BOTH with United tops on. The bar gets quiet and we stop and stare for a second. Jonesey said something humorous (like only he can) and we all bust out laughing. They were from Malaysia it turns out. They were cool and no one gave them any hassle at all. They stayed for a drink then went on their way. Good fun and banter....
