My Grandfather flew over the place many times in the 1940's, but he is dead now.

I went the previous Christmas for their famous markets!
Absolutely beautiful place, wonderful cathedral, the bars down by the Rhine are nice, and the food is as good as anywhwre... if you like pork!
They do large portions (oo-er missus!) at all the restaurants and the drink is always going to be good in Germany.
Bit of a strange choice for a stag-do though... it's more of a couples type of place.

There was a thread on Germany and its cities a few weeks ago.
Brilliant city, but as said, not really a stag do kind of place.
Drink in the bars around the Cathedral square and on the banks of the river. Good food as well.
If It's clubbing you want, other side of the river from the Cathedral and 'old' city.
Prepare for test-tube style beer glasses and amazing looking women.

There's a great bar that serves lager out of wooden casks, and good solid German food, situated opposite the Cathedral called Fruh Am Dom.

Went for a school trip when I was about 13. Lads my age got served in some shop for beer and knives. We went in a few brothels and got kicked out also. There's a big cathedral too. That's about it.
