anybody else excited?

He will be missed.......

Cant help feeling the City hierarchy probably wanted this resolved so we can look to build a dynasty. At best Tevez would have been unsettled next year.

I am excited at the prospect of at least one new "world class" striker.

However I am a little concerned our bidding team lack expertise to get their man. We seem to have been "played for fools" by other clubs when buying so many players. Hopefully now we have Champions league football and have proved we can win trophies we can get some of the biggest names and make a push for more silverware on all fronts.

Not really no, with tevez being my fav player and the best striker i have seen at city for a long time, will be gutted if/when he goes.

about tevez fuckin off I mean.....gutted we're losing a top notch player but we now have the excitement of seeing who were gonna sign to replace him.....we'll surely be seeing a massive signing heading our way to replace tevez (and no john Barnes hasn't come out of retirement) that we wouldn't have seen had he stayed.....should be a very interesting month or so. bollocks to being miserable about tevez fucking off let's look forward to the future and his replacement.

A voice of reason amongst a sea of gloom.

I'm with you brother..

(are you ITK about Barnes or just guessing?) ;)

I know he's been important to the team and only those of us who watch city know that the heart and soul isn't being ripped out of the team and that any decent player (Aguero/Eto/etc) will fit in and score goals, maybe not as many, but others will contribute more this season.
Now I dont want to give Bobby too much praise, but he hasnt let us down yet and, like others have said, the 'casual interview' in the Italian press at the weekend where he said ' oh and by the way we nearly swapped Carlos for Eto only Inter didnt want it' was surely calculated to flush this out. So maybe there is a bigger plan here and we need to show even more patience. I'm still excited about the coming season - Its going to be another step - there will be ups and downs and drama - but thats us - enjoy the ride!

What percentage of the chances we created last season were squandered by Tevez when a simple lay off would have put another player in with a good scoring chance? Stat's really don't tell the whole story. Of course he was a big part in our attack and scored and assisted loads. We were a team who often dominated posession and created loads of chances. I'm sure another striker could have done likewise if made first choice game after game. Balo scored a hatrick against Villa when Carlos was away and a brace against West Brom before being ridiculously sent off for nothing.

glad to see the back of him, sick of hearing about him moaning now. I hope and pray its the last time we buy anyone who's been near the rags!!!!

Am more than excited who ever comes or stays or goes . Am over the blue moon today, managed to get two (count them 2) season tix in same block as me 106 for other half and step daughter. whoo all going together next season.

Yeh I literally can't wait for him to be gone. Completely fed up of him being here.

Like others have said; It would be great to see Kompany given the captaincy full time.

Also, really hoping that Balotelli and Dzeko have injury-free seasons and can play a lot of games as i'm excited to see how they do up front. I get the feeling if one of them gets on a run then they'll be banging them in for fun.

they seem like theyve got a good relationship off the pitch, this could help how they play together
