It's the fact you show due diligence and a honest attempt to return other persons property, if delivered by mistake it is the responsibilty of the carrier to sort it out

Yes, quite agree, though you have no responsibility to try to return it, only make it available for collection. Telling him you're helping yourself to it isn't an option though!

I didn't mean to say that you were helping yourself, just that a convenient time frame was available, ie 28 days more than reasonable, after that time it would be a hassle. Most carriers/suppliers would write it off and simply reimburse / re-deliver

Again I agree. But it is their decision. I had duplicate kitchen units once delivered by a famous kitchen manufacture (who is no more) and upon being informed that I wanted them collected they told me to keep them.

not that i'm trying to start one but; how many arguments have you been in with other posters since you joined the forum? just wondering brooklands as i've never seen anyone be in as many as you in such a short space of time

I'm just the doctor, Tom. I didn't make the needles sharp. People do not like it when I tell them how it is. For example this last guy took a cheap shot at my fasmily and I returned it with interest. On the main forum I am getting on just fine with the rational posters, sure I have annoyed a few of the Hughes out brigade but I can live with that.

and we all know that the hughes out lot are closet rags anyway. or never attend and watch it all on tv then think they can moan about it.
main forum is easier to get along with people on as mostly its all disscussing city and for the most part it doesn't get nasty. but on off topic you seem to be "jousting" far too much lol

When I talk about jousting, it's a two way thing I have a stad at them and they give it back. Most of the people who want to take shots at me on here are not on my level and therefore it's not really jousting-more like blasting fish in a barrel with an AK47.
