Yes. An absolute hell hole. Wouldn't step foot in the place ever again, even if I were paid.
Go to Greece or Croatia is my advice.

Well nobody told Thomas Cook, they've plenty of availability.

Sharm is still off the agenda though, they keep saying it's being reintroduced but I haven't seen any offers.

I went to sousse in I think it was 1989, everyone said I was mad but it was one of the best hols I've ever had. As another poster says I to thought it was still out of bounds

Edit : it was 1989, Frank Bruno fought mike Tyson when I was there, we were on a complex of 3 hotels and the rep recommended we didn't leave the complex at night, but being young and stupid we did and watched the fight in a nightclub there but never had a problem

I traveled all over Tunisia in 1993 for 4 weeks,( Tunis,Monastir ,Houmt Souk) I absolutely loved it,been to Morocco and Eygpt too,all three countries I loved and the people were very friendly and over-all very nice people,however,there is no way Id go to any of them at the moment with the political climate and the Isis situation,its way too dangerous.
