Brave statement there, if anyone else says that to a City fan they usually get shouted down

Football is pretty much whoever has got the most money wins, could say its always been like that - But oil tycoons and billionaires just coming in and paying 30+ million for players just makes a bit of a mockery of the game to be honest.
I dont give a fuck tbh & am just glad the Sheikh popped up at our club
And as for winning it 15 times out of the next 20,i'd rather we won 20 tbh :)

it would get boring - look at Celtic - they win it every year (maybe not this) - is it seen as an achievement?
I'd take it
Ive watched them cunts dominate for 20 years & bag trophy after trophy mocking us in the process, looking back ive thought fuckinhell if only & now its real....i dont want to buy my seasoncard after winning it the previous 4/5 or 6 seasons & think fuck it let someone else have it this year....

Fuck um.....

I love it!

We're finally seeing the best players winning trophies!

I agree that nothing will ever top Aguero's goal, so I can see why some people are becoming disillusioned. But imagine if we win our 10th title in my life time. Or winning the Champions League etc...

I also enjoy the social side of going.

Have they just seen your album collection?

Football is a great and interesting team sport, it will never get boring. As others have mentioned, all the other bollocks surrounding it is boring. Crooks in charge at UEFA & all the FAs for that matter. Fans constantly being squeezed and never seeing a return for their dedication to their favorite time. If internationals want to be taken seriously they need to be set up to be so, at the moment they are pathetic to draw in wider audiences.

From a city point of view I'm mostly naffed off about Toure and although a fantastic manager, pelle is constantly naive about his formations in europe.

I'm not as obsessed as I used to be. I'd go to games, buy the programs, buy sticker albums, shoot/match/442 magazines, read ceefax/teletext about rumours, obssesed with sports pages, play computer games with anything football (from sensi to all the crappy FIFAs) watch any game that was on telly, but now it's just Spurs mostly and the crappy MOTD highlights. I think part of it is getting older and nostalgic and seeing how it's become so commericialised, and every man and his dog thinking they're ITK and talking tactics as if they know the game inside out. Kick and rush? High line? Pressing game? High pressing game? Who gives a shite, we still finish 5th

What I forgot to mention is that I see myself how I used to be at the match through my 14yr old son when at the match now.

He is really into it. Giving it loads.

I do have a chuckle at times and think that is how I used to be!

the overwhelming obsession with work-rate, passes for the sake of passes, time-wasting, diving, forwards initiating contact, feigning injury, no standing, obscene prices at grounds, cartel manipulating rules, but above all the game has become boring.

It's not the same sport it was when I was growing up. Actually, it's more business now than sport. And not just City. At the elite level, CL qualification is the be all and end all (look at arsenal's trophyless years; they were more than happy to just get into the top 4). And at the bottom of the PL, survival is everything. Fuck a good run in the cup; get to 40 points by any means possible (witness the farcical lineups most teams put out in the early rounds of the domestic cups). While in the Championship, most chairmen would sell their souls to Satan in return for promotion to the cash cow that is the PL. And don't get me started on the corrupt monoliths that are UEFA & FIFA! I'll always support City (damn it!), but I definitely don't have the same fondness for the game in general that I had when I was a little brat growing up in Moss Side/Longsight. Sad really, but there you go.

Nope I love football more than ever. Palace are doing better than they have in over 20 years and best ever since the early 90s. The atmosphere at Selhurst has been great for last 5 or so years. It's even better now meeting old friends who you only see on match days. The only complaint is the price of football. In an ideal world it would be a lot cheaper and something needs to be done about it.

On football as a whole I don't think we are playing in a great era in terms of creativity and technical skill, but there is still a lot of that about. For the first time we have virtually every top game at our finger tips. We can watch the best football from around the world and form our own opinion. Thus I am surprised by the complaint about pundits. We now can actually watch the matches and make our own minds up instead of taking what they say as a given.

I think City being good and getting older(now 31) has changed my outlook on football.

When we were shit, I used to love watching football from Italy and Spain. It made me think what might be.

Now we aare good, I've got more things to woy about and now City are 'in the club', its clear to see how bent it all is, and all the 'experts' get on my fucking nevres.

I'm a City fan, not a football fan!

I watch most prem games and some spainish games

The cheating, diving and bus parking does spoil it and takes away some of enjoyment
and the champions league does nothing for me
If i could get to a game i would be like a kid at xmas
