Anyone else feeling a bit nervous about Mancini's signings?

It's just dawned on me that whilst Bobby has started fantastically, and is clearly a tactically astute coach..I've no idea what he's like at identifying signings.

IMO Hughes had a really good eye for a player (e.g Kompany, De Jong,Bellamy, Tevez etc), to the extent that I felt comfortable that he would buy well in January. His weakness being that he wasn't the best at making tactical decisions during the game.

With Bobby It's a case of fingers crossed as I've no idea..could anyone give me an idea as to any past inspired signings he's made...help me sleep a bit easier?!

(p.s I think Vieira is going to be a fantastic signing, so so far so good!)

Nope. He has managed one of the worlds biggest football clubs and he bought some excellent players.

Didn't Bobby Manc sign Crespo for them? I've always thought he was a quality player personally.

Nope,

He bought Julio Cesar, Maicon and Ibrahimovic for Inter plus many others that have gone on to be massive players.

Mancini is being very astute in this transfer market and i applaud him. Like he said last week, when we finish in the top4 we will be looking to sign players like Maicon and Ibrahimovic in summer. He is simply buying sensibly (sp?) at the minute. The big names will come in summer along with Champions League qualification

Well we'll see..always been a Vieira admirer tbh, although I'd agree he's looked a shadow of himself in recent seasons..guess I'm just hoping that a return to the premiership might trigger a return to his old form ( a bit likeI felt about Mcmanaman ....doh!)

bibbyblue..great post thanks...that's just the answer I was looking for

Forward with Bobby!!
