I am, for the sole reason that it took some of the gloss off the scumbag rags' day.

I watched the game in the pub and there were loads of the twats (I live down south) celebrating each Cardiff goal like arseholes. I'm not a fan of Liverpool but I'm glad they won for this reason only.

My Facebook newsfeed was promptly filled with my rag mates moaning about how lucky Liverpool were to beat Championship opposition at the death - oh the irony.

The only saving grace about Liverpool winning a trophy is that it will gloss over how shite they actually are, and how poor King Kenny is as a manager. He's won the Carling Cup now so that guarantees his God like status will continue and he'll be allowed to fuck things up for another 12 months without anyone being able to touch him.

£120m to assemble a side that won the Carling Cup.

Against a Championship side.

On penalties.

Can't buy 'istree like dat, lah!

I cheered every Cardiff goal.

on the plus side:
moves liverpool one more above the rags in total number of major trophies won.
keeps kenny in a job longer (he is pooh and will not improve them)
thats about it

on the negative side:
their fans getting even more cocky and gobby.
again thats about it

Meh.... two minds.

On the one hand, I was chanting, "You're gonna win fuck all!" in the first semi-final leg against them. So I feel like an idiot now.

On the other, it keeps their piss-poor manager in the job and distracts everyone from the fact that Liverpool FC are a slow-sinking ship, which will make the impact even greater when they start struggling to qualify for Europa, haha
