Anyone else glad Liverpool won the cup?

I am, for the sole reason that it took some of the gloss off the scumbag rags' day.

I watched the game in the pub and there were loads of the twats (I live down south) celebrating each Cardiff goal like arseholes. I'm not a fan of Liverpool but I'm glad they won for this reason only.

My Facebook newsfeed was promptly filled with my rag mates moaning about how lucky Liverpool were to beat Championship opposition at the death - oh the irony.

So you're pleased Liverpool won the Carling Cup beacuse United fans dislike Liverpool ? Good one.

By the way, what's ironic ?

My guess is that the rags were knocked out by Crystal Palace, also Championship opposition, in an earlier round in the same competition.

I'm not glad. I wanted them to get humiliated by Cardiff as I'm looking forward to the day that it finally dawns on them that King Kenny is shit. That was starting to happen when the rags beat them but they've now gone back to thinking he's the Messiah. Plus I didn't want them in Europe at all.

The only saving grace about Liverpool winning a trophy is that it will gloss over how shite they actually are, and how poor King Kenny is as a manager. He's won the Carling Cup now so that guarantees his God like status will continue and he'll be allowed to fuck things up for another 12 months without anyone being able to touch him.

Seeing as they fluked another shoot out win I will go with this, although my Heart wants to quote Prestwich's post from just now.

Last week at work somebody was explaining something about the job to someone else and when the person looked unsure he said;

"You look as confused as Dalglish on a modern day Coaching course".

No, but as a consolation they will now have the distraction of 20 odd Europa league games next season which will keep them out of the top four a little longer.

top four?? the way its going theyll be aiming for 5th or 6th next season as with any luck, their league finish will be 7th ;o)

Obviously the world's biggest players are very glad Liverpool won the Carling Cup because after that amazing show of footballing prowess against such household names as Kevin McNaughton, Darcy Blake and Tom Heaton, all the big players now want to join Liverpool in the Summer according to Mr Comolli.

I can see the OS interviews now "The chance to play with Charlie Adam and Jay Spearing and achieve more Carling Cup success was just too good to turn down"
