If a company can request bad reviews removed doesn't that make trust pilot pointless?

Trust Pilot is pointless and always has been, there's no verification usually needed for reviews and whilst they're removing all of the Blue posts, there's a load of new rag ones giving 5* which won't be removed.

Even genuine posts linked direct from a companies website can be requested to be removed if it suits the company.

Some years ago so it may have changed but a lad I knew was on Checkatrade and I'm pretty sure it was a subscription service that cost him £150.00 a month. Where's the trust in any of theses services if people pay to be on them, and can remove reviews they don't like?

They are desperate for a different focus. It's been a wonderful week from last Sunday. Yards of broadcasting puffery from local tv and 24hrs later the tears have put another foot of water in Salford Quays.
