I know it will be tough, but it's achievable. We will undoubtedly make some big signings this Summer, not in the Villa or Kaka mould, but good quality players like Barry. Everton don't have any strikers or a pot to piss in, and Arteta is out until Jan. Plus, we could well nick Lescott off them though i'd prefer Jagielka. Villa have lost the heart of their team in Laursen and Barry, and O'Neill will probably spend the cash on Huddlestone and Bentley as he seems to forget he can buy abroad.

That only really leaves Spuds as i don't see Fulham holding down Europe and a push up the league tbh. But Hodgson is a great manager so he could suprise us but i doubt it.

I reckon 5th is achievable, but this is City we're talking about, we'll probably get relegated

If we don't get 5th we'll have a new manager, I know the papers said "top 6" but if we make just a few of the rumoured signings we should be looking at getting considerably closer in points terms to 4th place than Everton or Villa managed.

4th will be the least we get next season. Villa were doing ok and bought Heskey, we've now bought their best player so that's them out of it along with the over achieving scousers. The Arse will be looking over their shoulder big time i think as we make swift progress.

if we get two top quality strikers, or even one prolific one with all round attributes then i believe our first 11 is better than arsenals.
You sure? Clichy, Toure, Fabregas, Nasri, Adebayor, Eduardo and Van Persie would all get in our team

Toure along with Carvalho may well be City signings before the season opens.

Villa were lucky with a lot of their results last season and we've just stolen their most influential player. They also have Europa, so I think we are in a much better position than them to push on.

Spuds will be better than last season but we will have a far superior squad than them. I'd be surprised if they finished above us.

Fullham will struggle with a small squad and playing in Europa league will affect their Prem form.

Everton have little money to strengthen and I can't see them getting 5th again. Spurs will finish above them imo.

So I think 5th is definitely doable, but I think 4th is what we should be aiming at. If we get all our targets, we will have a stronger squad than Arsenal.

It is alright signing all these players but we have to find the best system to play in. Arsenal will be a lot better next season. Arshavin , Rosicky will be back they will have a good selection to choose from. They need 2 get in a top class Defender , Keeper and dirty bastard midfielder and they wont be too far away from the title.

As for City 5th place is going to be hard we cant afford to loose any of the games against Stoke , Hull , Sunderland , Wolves , Burnley and Birmingham so thats 36 points if we win all 12 games this season we only won what 15 games. Keep a good solid home record we have every chance of getting into the top 6 but the other teams like Spurs will be there or abouts next season aswell.
