You can go to the 3 website and check coverage for her post code just to see how good the coverage is. She should be getting a signal even if only a small one. I'd phone cust service because they shouldnt have sold it to you if there is no coverage in your area did they check this when you purchased it?

Bought it online so no advice there. The map says she should get coverage, mind you i was only trying to find coverage on my ipad via it's sim card when i was over hers earlier. If you bought it online distance selling regulations state you have 7 days to return it for a full refund as long as its in its original condition. So if it doesn't work and you're still within your 7 days you can cancel your contract and get a refund
